Account Banned
In case you are wondering I have submitted a ticket and I’m waiting for a response and I have scanned my computer several times for viruses/keyloggers. I changed where Anet sends my emails, and reset all my passwords for computer/email/guildwars 2
First off, I had to disable the email authentication system because I wasn’t recieving the emails anymore. I kept on trying to change the password for a week before it was hacked, but for some reason the new password would never work. Now I got my account back after being hacked and everything was gone and I started getting gear and weapons back the past few days trying to keep a positive attitude. Now my account has been banned for modifying the account, 2 days after I regained control and I can’t get any info out of Arenanet. What is going on? Why can’t I talk with somone one-on-one to actually resolve this issue?
You are talking to someone one-on-one when you submit a ticket. Those folks are not auto-respond-bots or drones — they’re human beings reading the ticket, assessing the situation, figuring it out and responding to you.
Please continue to work with the team. If you still need help after three days, post in the “Tickets for Review” thread in the sticky-thread section.

I’m just worried I won’t get my account back now, because it said that the ban is permanent. I don’t even know what I supposedly did. Am I supposed to get an email with further information? Did the hackers bot on my account during the time they had it and if so am I still not getting my account back?
Just wanted to post back about the awsome rapid response in resolving this issue and I have my account back. When companies have great customer support I definately spread the word. Thanks again
I was banned as well without even a hint of an explanation why. Logged out and logged back in to play, and bam! Notice on the log in screen saying my account was terminated. No email to my account explaining why this action was even taken let alone any reason given for it. I’ve changed my password, placed a ticket with support, and I’m hoping that this will be resolved as quickly as yours was. I’m baffled and bewildered at the moment, and admittedly really very angry.

Still have not had a single response to my request for more info about why I my account was banned, and what I can do to get it back, if anything at all. This is beyond bizarre.
Still nothing. Is there a live chat we can use to address what’s happened? I’d really like some resolution to this issue, one way or another.
Finally got am email from support, but it didn’t specify what has happened or why my account was terminated. Really hoping to get this resolved soon and back in game. Makes me worried about this happening again though in the future, as it seems completely out of left field.
So I’ve received no follow-up after the initial email I received from GW2 support. My account’s still banned and I am still in the dark as to why. I really wish someone would simply explain what happened and why, and at least give me the opportunity to talk to someone about akll of this so I can prove beyond a shodow of a doubt that I did nothing to warrant this.
Cormac and Oldephartte, I reccommend you start your own thread for your own issues. Piggy backing on a resolved thread likely means your posts have not been read, as the issue is closed with the original poster.
