There is no automated banning system.
But if you send gold with just an empty message then you almost ask to get banned.
If you (and the ones who send gold to you) take time to make a nice message and send that with the gold, the moderators will see that it was not a bot/hacker/third party program who is sending gold to a specific target account.

As title says, I am suspended for using a third party program.
Now I know the policy and I know this isn’t the actual reason why I got suspended, I am pretty sure it has to do with transferring gold to other players and I think this is a serious problem if I can’t send & receive gold from & to my friends and getting banned over it.
I can not possibly imagine this is “human error” as that is what you claimed when everyone else got banned a while ago. Since I am currently suspended I can’t play GW2 but I certainly won’t later if there is an automated banning system going on.
Besides if this counts as my “first offense” for doing nothing wrong, what point is there in playing when I face permanent suspension for doing nothing wrong 10 times?

First off all, you have posted in the 3 day review sticky. This is very inapropiate. If you want to make a case out of this I urge you to remove that. It doesnt add a thing but spreading your current grief in a topic not designed for these discussions.
From that thread I understand that you have been unsuspended within hours. You are asking what happens with your 2th or 3rd offense?. Not really much. With support recognising they made a mistake your account has been cleaned. So if you start using a bot now and you got caught that would count as your first offense.
Arenanet has many times stated that all suspensions are made by a human and that all false suspensions are made by human error. Yours is no exception. That might also be the reason that you believe the suspected flag (the reason that a GM investigate you) was for goldselling. And that the GM in question hitted the wrong reason-option in the suspension tool. But I dont think the reason they stated for the suspension is the issue but the fact that it happened.
Recently I had here a discussion with arenanet. Gaile stated in a post that 99% of the suspensions are not done in error.. Some people doubted that number. I can’t proof it and have to believe her (and actually do). But I also stated that 1% error marging shouldnt be the goal, but 0%. Off course human errors can be made. But as a recent victum you will agree that every error is one too many.
Soon Gaile reacted to me and others that she is going to start an internal discussion bout this to review all processes involved in suspending people and that she agrees that the goal should be 0% mistakes, even if thats and impossible goal.
Unfortunally such a discussion takes time and untill the processes have changed to prevent a false suspension as in your case, these things can happen (and even afterwards). You just had a very negative experience with the company. It’s up to you to trust them they are doing their best to take these mistakes serious and prevent them in the future. Nobody will blame you if you dont give arenanet a second change and when you turn your back to the game and to future expansions.

Wait a minute. You were suspended, and not banned. Suspensions ARE for using certain third-party programs, inappropriate language, unacceptable names, etc. If you were suspected of dealing in RMT transactions, you would have been banned, not suspended. Something is not right here.
First of all, all of you here are not qualify to answer any questions about anything if you’re not working for Anet. You don’t know any more information than anyone else here so stop posting as if you’re working for Anet. Even if they say they don’t auto ban doesn’t mean everything they say are true or believable.
I have gotten permanent banned 3 times, 2 of them came within 30 days of each other. Each time I got banned was right after I send gold/materials to friends to make their legendary, one time I got banned for sending 100g to my brother account to buy icy runestones. I don’t believe each time was human errors, given any human who are in charge of this should have known better. Sending gold to an account that shared the same ip as I do and to accounts that been in the guild for like 4-6 months, not to mention if any real investigations were done they should have seen chat logs for the last couple of months discussing our plans.
Each of those ban were all reserved and I missed some dailies already for errors that caused by Anet. Pretty much every time I am sending gold to a friend or to my brother account, I have to cross my fingers and hope I don’t get permanent ban. The way they operate doesn’t give me much confident. I might as well quit the game now so I don’t waste anymore time on my account just to get perm ban out of nowhere for no reason.

Im truly sorry. Your speaking on a public forum and expecting not to have reactions from the public??
It’s anet’s decission to discuss these things open with everyone to see. We have all the right to react here and all the right to express our feelings bout this. You are wrong here.
Almost every country has something called freedom to speak. But I guess your so full of yourself you are not open to see I am trying to help and I was actually on your side.
But I’m seriously thinking why bother trying to help people here if this is the kind reaction you get.

This sub-forum is not for getting an immediate answer to your ticket, if that is what you were hoping for. Customer Support will answer you in said ticket. Posting here will allow others to respond. If you only want to speak to official ArenaNet employees, wait for your ticket to be answered, and if it is not answered after 72 hours, post in the appropriate sticky. Good luck.

We use the guild bank, why would sending empty mails be wrong though?
If they review my account when I send a ticket and they see it does not fit all of the criteria for the so called violation, why on earth did they not see this before they put me on suspended?
Another thing is I still have no clue what caused them to even think I fitted the criteria. How am I supposed to prevent this from happening again if they just block people out of no where? I rather have a moderator stalking me, reading chat, item logs and what not because I know I am following all the rules and they should know this before even doing something.

I think you should re-read my post bout what Gaile less then a week ago have stated. Arenanet agrees with you. I agree with you and I think everyone agrees with you. But I dont want arenanet to stop suspending the bad guys in fear of a false suspension either.
Don’t get me wrong. I know and totally understand that you are upset and feel angry, but you are wasting your energy here. All that needs to be done is being taken care of as we speak. But even Gaile cant change things at the site of support overnight. I know she is often compared with superwoman (and with good reasons), but even she has her limitations.
So like I said. You can choose: either let your anger go an be happy you got access back or give arenanet the ultimate punishment: loosing a customer. Crying how angry and frustrated you are out here won’t do you much good. Believe me, I have been there fighting those windmills.
