So back in December I bought a second account when they went on sale so I can have extra storage and a “back up” account.
I farm Cursed Shore and do dungeon runs with guildies pretty regular and since Anet has been so ban happy lately thinking everyone is a bot I’ve been transferring some crafting materials, extra weapons and gold to my extra account but all via my guild’s bank and not the mail system.
Well as of this morning that second account has been banned for real money trading.
Now these transfers have been done little by little for the past 2 and a half months not all at once and there’s not much gold on that account to begin with.
I also have been playing the second account and have a level 60 guardian so it’s not like it’s a level 1 with a bunch of stuff.
I have submitted a ticket and I’m waiting for a reply but this should not have happened to begin with and I’m pretty kitten that you have to watch everything you do because one false move can mean a ban.
Heck this second account was created because I was worried my main account was going to be bannded for some oddball reason and I didn’t want to leave all my eggs in one basket.
I’ve put in hundreds of hours on this game and to see half my stuff gone in an instant has me upset to no end.
This sort of automatic banning needs to stop, there is no excuse for this.

There is no automatic banning (suspension or account termination). Every single account that is suspended or terminated has had a human review and has met several parameters that lead the agent to conclude that the account is involved in disallowed behavior.

I am sorry that you have experienced a… whatever you mean when you say “ban.” You submitted an appeal, and that’s the right thing to do. You will be responded to quite promptly.
