So I just got booted form Guild Wars 2 and when I tried to log back in I got a message stating that I was permanently banned for selling or helping to sell gold for real life money. WTF? I have never done this!! I have never helped anybody do this. What in the hell is going on? Doesn’t anybody there even substantiate these things before just going and banning somebody?
I got an in-game mail today that i reported for scamming but I’ve had nothing else to do with any kind of gold selling. I want to know what the hell is going on.
If this can’t be cleared up, I want a full refund of the purchase of the game, and purchases of updates and any money spent for gems. This is just screwed up.

Anyway, i suggest you send a ticket to the support. You are guilty until proven innocent, i know it sucks for you, friends, guild, the community but try to get the account back, and keep playing
Okay well I received an email response from the GW team I will not state who the individual that responded is, but this person said the following “The decision to suspend the account is final. This decision has been thoroughly reviewed by our team, and we maintain absolute confidence in our conclusion. The account will remain suspended until the block expires and is not eligible for reactivation before that time.”
Now I’m confused. The message said that my account was suspended permanently for selling gold but according to the email response, the suspension will expire yet there is no indication of any time to expire. I will include the screenshot.
Oh and the support ticket number is this: 130412-000734 In case Gaile wants to look at it.
My thought is this, the response is just general response given and the ticket wasn’t even looked at, either that or I received the wrong message as far as account suspension, which leads me to ask:
What in the hell did I do to warrant this suspension?
On another note: I love Guild Wars 1 & 2. I’ve loved Guild Wars since I first started playing back in 2007 0r 2008, can’t remember exactly. I was in the closed and open betas for GW2 and in the head start. I’ve have spent over $200 for gems for special items etc. I am a very dedicated player and I believe I deserve at least an explanation why these actions have been taken other than just a general statement. I don’t deserve special treatment but just basic human explanations so I know what exactly is the issue here.
You must give them at least 3 days before you get some reply from the support.
I hope that Gaile will take a look here She is pretty good at fixing stuff.

First, suspensions are temporary. Terminations are permanent. The message that you are seeing mentions a permanent termination. But I imagine if you attempt to log in again, you’ll see that the message not mentions that you were suspended.
I checked the ticket and it includes crude language, and I noted that the account is suspended for three days. If you have continued questions, please update your ticket.
Sorry in intrude in this even though it’s not my issue but I was curious as to what has happened here. Is this player terminated from his gold/scamming abuse or is he just temporary banned for crude language but a termination message is popped up in error or did this player abuse both areas and he is serving both a termination and a 3 day suspension?

I’m not sure Gaile will post any reasons unless it’s in direct reply to the OP. I’m sure it’s a privacy issue between a player and the company, up until a player openly challenges Anet in its decision.

Probably not, it was just the situation is strange and the wordings used threw me off. I like to know these things if I ever were to get suspended or of such, by accident or what not and a termination may message pops up in error?
UPDATE: After emailing a support ticket to Anet. The suspension was changed to the 72 hour suspension instead of the permanent suspension for gold selling. I imagine the error code I initially received was the wrong suspension notice and has since been changed. Thank you.

The Same thing just happend to me, i haven’t been playing for a year and today when i tried to play that mensage appeard so please admins, Gale..etc Help us or refund us the money we spent on the game
crosa I suggest you file a ticket to ask about the status of your account. It might have been compromised during your break.
