Mistakes happen. I was wrongly ‘banned’, as well, but I don’t expect recompense.

I was wrongly banned too. Has to contact support and get unbanned. I just shrugged it off. Support are human beings and mistakes happen. It certainly didn’t occur to me to demand recompense.
Actually, your account was banned due to a payment issue. Doesn’t matter that it wasn’t directly your issue. When a payment bounces, Anet locks down accounts really fast. It happens. Deal with it. It wasn’t someone “banning you” because they felt like it. There was a payment issue, and now it’s been corrected. Honestly, it’s a free to play game, you don’t deserve any item for not being able to play for a few days. If this game had a monthly fee, I could see asking for payment, or extra days, but that is about it.
Some people that have received this same error since sept 10th have yet to get a email back.

I was wrongfully banned once and was very happy to get my account back, surely if they gave compensation would be nice but they don’t oh well. Even if they did give compensation I think something that is worth a 1000 gems is a bit much, and demanding for it is just strange.

He said to just be glad you aren’t like his friends who are still locked out of their accounts due to an apparent bug in the temp ban system. No timer is displaying or counting down for them. So whether they were banned fairly or not the system is bugged. Which is probably complicating their appeals.
So he’s saying consider the fact that you’re back to playing as quickly as you are and not still banned due to the bounced payment as your compensation for being banned. The quick removal of your ban is your compensation.
This entire subject just reeks of entitlement ….nobody owes you anything for not being able to access a FREE to play game.

The way you write this, is as if someone at support banned your account, where as a 3rd party company did have a system glitch, it sounds like it was the automated system that put the block on your account, and then support removed and fixed it.
Curious about what “compensation” you “suggested” the 3rd party credit card processor give you.
