Literally every time I try to log-in I have to authorize the log-in attempt via my email which has a link to this site where I authorize the log-in attempt. This starting to kitten me off, it started less than 2 days after I made an account and has yet to go away. I’ve already changed my account password 3-4 times now, any suggestions?

And I have already scanned my ENTIRE hard drive, no viruses whatsoever.

Have you ticked the additional box to remember the network? If you have done so, you should only be asked again, if you have an IP that is not connected with your ISP.

Or your ISP is pretty trippy on your IP.

This is only partially effective, my ISP has more than one Class A subnet and even though I’ve authorised IPs on both I still get plagued with these lockouts if my DHCP lease runs out and I get an IP from one of the pre-authrised Class As which isn’t on the same Class B or Class C I’ve had before: I have no such problems with Rift, Trion seem to be far better at determining ‘same ISP’ than Anet are.

The current UI of the authorisation page is a poor design IMO, the checkbox is easy to miss since it’s above the ‘Cancel’ (or whatever button says don’t authorise), it should be adjacent to the “Authorise” button and enabled by default.

No, some people WANT to be asked anytime. So making it default is not ok.
