Banned for "Inappropriate Behavior"
Well, ‘inappropriate behavior’ is not the same as ‘inappropriate name’. Perhaps, in your passionately-played match(es), you let slip some inappropriate language or something else along that line. If you want/need further clarification as to why you were suspended (you were not banned), you could contact Customer Support and ask.

Also if you could point me in the right direction to contact customer support about this I would appreciate it. I’ve looked for it myself with no avail.

-Nothing racial, ethnic, national or cultural
-Does not include hate speech or bigoted slurs
-Does not reference sexual acts or real life violence (Though I suspect this is the reason they might’ve, but having twos letter similar to kitten in the first word does not make it a sexual reference, it’s a reference to their own game meta!)
-Definitely not pornographic
-Does not reference the human anatomy or bodily functions
-Does not reference illegal drugs or activities (though there’s about a hundred thousand other names that do)
-Does not reference religious or historical figures
-Does not reference real life people
-Does not reference anything copyrighted (Though I do reference the meta of the game, it’s not a copyrighted term of ANet’s)
-Not a misspelling, if somebody perceives it as any of the above it’s their demented perception.
I don’t want to sound like a kitten, but did you read my name? I would like to know why you think it wouldn’t be appropriate.

Names have been suspended by mistake in the past. Open a support ticket and ask as no one on the forums can help you or answer your question.

Oh wow, I don’t know how I missed that, thank you.

Didn’t notice you could see through it, thank you. Fortunately I’ve got a pretty secure password.
Sadly I think it’s obvious what it falls under (probably 2 to be exact).
Anyway, you could try talking to support. On the bright side, according to Gaile, you can create names of famous people; Taylor Swift, Ashton Kutcher, Bill Gates, etc are all acceptable names to use. Maybe try one of those?
Don’t support the Gem Shop, it’s that easy.

Care to elaborate which you’d think it is?
It’s not a reference to a sexual act, which is the only thing I think they could possibly perceive it as.

I would say it could fall under reference to sexual act just by looking at the name, my wife also thought that without reading the rest of the forum page, so its quite obvious someone could think that.
edited to further reference why you could have been banned, bunk is a slang name for low quality mariajuna. unfortunately a lot of people from a lot of backgrounds play gw2 and anet have their rules they have to abide by.

Is that not because of your conditioning of hearing “Kitten me harder” in real life? I can see why people would think that, but that’s due to their own misconceptions and when my name isn’t directly a grasp at that phrase I don’t think it’s appropriate to take that name away from me. If you took away people’s names for slang for marijuana we’d all have numerical names. Anecdotal, but in four years of heavy marijuana smoking with friends I’ve never heard “Bunk” used as slang for low tier bud.
My issue is that I abided by their rules, you may perceive it as a sexual reference on first notion, but it’s not, and has a meaning of it’s own that in the context of their game (Say your playing tPvP, you’re going to hear Bunker a lot, and playing as a guardian that’s my job) If you’re playing a game of sPvP you’re going to immediately know my name is a reference to the meta and not grabbing at sexual innuendo straws.
Look, dude. You can say someone thinks it’s “because of their misconceptions” and that you chose it because it was deeply meaningful or your dear departed uncle’s nickname or whatever. The criteria isn’t what you think it means. The criteria is what a reasonable person who does not know you thinks it means. No one’s getting your backstory when they see the name.
There’s a town in Austria that starts with F, (and it’s not “firetruck”). If I put that as my name, no one is going to assume I’m from Austria.

I’m not saying it’s something that’s deeply meaningful to me. Is it unreasonable of me to expect that people see a name in the context of the game they’re playing before assuming it’s sexual innuendo? “Bunk” isn’t even slang for that town in Austria, at least nothing mainstream (and if we argue we must avoid all slang, we would have to avoid 99% of words). There’s no backstory to get when you see my name, it’s not something from my past, it’s something from the game that you’re playing just as I. If somebody is ignorant to that part of the game and has the maturity of a thirteen year old, why should I be punished for it? It’s a name with appropriate intent and meaning, and it’s being banned because you can kind of relate it to something sexual (Nothing in the name itself is even sexual!) You can relate literally any name to sexual innuendo if you try hard enough and include slang. It’s context that matters.
You honestly think naming yourself FKitten and bluestocking is the same? I could relate your name to sexual innuendo if I really wanted to, but that doesn’t mean I find it offensive or inappropriate, and you certainly shouldn’t be suspended then punished because I tried really hard to.
Bottom line is that people need thicker skin, it’s one thing to protect against discrimination and related words, it’s another to ban any name that could related even a sliver to another topic not G rated.
It does little good to argue the case here, forum-users have no control over your suspension. You need to take it up with CS. They may decide it was a mistake, …or not.
A bunker build wasn’t the first thing that sprang to mind for me, though. Good luck.

I’ve taken it up with CS already, just here to reply to those who comment now. It wasn’t really an ‘unban me guys’ but more of a ’what’s your opinion?’ thread.
Let’s play Family Feud here. What would likely be the word most people would use to fill in the blank “_ me harder”. And that phrase is far from innuendo.
Then compare it to the work you used. Bunk.
Then you should understand why CS believes you were intentionally substituting Bunk for a similar 4 letter word that a lot of people would have put in the blank.
Smack me harder might have been allowed regardless of the slight S&M connotation but comparing bad word to bunk where both have two letters not only in common but in the same place and phonetically identical … yea rename time.
Remember the game is rated T for parents.

You can check to see if the name, Everyday Imbunkerin, is acceptable. ^^
It’s not a reference to a sexual act, which is the only thing I think they could possibly perceive it as.
I would say your guess is exactly right. Keep in mind your “intention” of what the reference is has NO bearing on the decision to take action on the name. I have no doubt you are being 100% truthful, but that does not change the fact that the name COULD be considered offensive (to whom…I have no idea….).
I’ve seen lots of these ban threads and if it IS in fact your name that was the source of the ban, you will know it when you have to change it. If you want to post a ticket with support, you just might get it reversed (as that name being offensive is QUITE a stretch, IMO).
On the other hand, if it was some other incident (“Inappropriate Behavior”, indicates that it was NOT your name), you won’t be asked to change the name and you obviously did something (verbal, etc.) that the review of your activity made someone fell a ban was warranted.

As being said, support can tell you wether or not you are right or wrongly suspended.
I think bunk me harder can be seen as a reference for sexual intercourse. The problem is when some words are replaced to hide the purpose. This can be done in a funny and therefor accepted way, or in a lesser funny way.
Lets take the example of a ‘pheasant plucker’ On itself there is nothing wrong with it. but it can be seen as something totally different and you could very succesfully claim it is the goal to be seen as completely different. The question is if it is humoristic.
As for your case, the replacement word is a game term used in certain aspects off the game. Keep in mind that a pve-er might never have heard of the word bunker. So in my personal opinion it isnt offensive. But then again im actually hard to offend. It was offensive to someone and that someone reported you. support viewed at it and agreed it might be considered to be offensive and can be seen as a breach of the code.
So even if it is not offensive to you or you and me think it would be ok to use it. Ask yourself the following question: ‘If it was offensive to someone? Do I want to be offensive to that fellow player?’
My personal answer would be no and I would change the name (which you should be able to do now if this is your first time offense)
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
Being suspended for “Inappropriate Behavior” has nothing to do with the name choice of bunk me harder. Suspensions for “Inappropriate Behavior” happen because of what you said or did while in game. If you were suspended for “Inappropriate Name” then you would be forced to do a name change.

This is your third suggestive or offensive name, and as such, you were given a three-day suspension. When you are able to rejoin the game, you will be asked to rename the character in question.
I understand that you do not feel that there is a sexually suggestive tone to the name. We disagree. Rename, avoid references to sexual activity and body parts (as you have used in the past), and you’ll be fine.
