This is getting a bit ridiculous… So over the past few months many of my friends have been permabanned for farming. The anti-bot system may be working on the bots but it’s also working on banning legitimate players from the game. So many of my friends have been banned for farming Southsun Cove for Karka Shells. Many of my friends have also been banned for farming places with risen that frequently spawn. Gold isn’t easy to make in this game so people have to grind for it. When grinding comes with risk of having an account you spent thousands of hours on banned it shows that the anti-bot system needs to be fixed.

Now, I’m going to go farm for some gold. Please don’t ban me while I’m doing it!

You are making some very suspicious claims here. I have been playing since launch and consider myself a very sociable player. I have not seen 1 friend of mine that got suspended for farming. I have seen on rare occassions here some reports of people claiming that they where only farming but where accused of botting. After an Arenanet official stepped and solved the issue, I never had any doubt that a person was wrongly suspended.

Please don’t make these kind of faul accusation

I’m not making a false accusation here. My friend Thai of Guardian had his account banned for farming risen, his neice was then banned for farming Karka shells in southsun. Southsun gets the banhammer swung around it too much.

Again, You have absolutly no proof so these accusations must be false.

The only people making these kind of accusations are actually the botters. They profit from putting Arenanet in a bad daylight by spreading fear.

If your friend sclaim to be falsly suspended they should make a support ticket. If that doesn’t change the situation they can ask an Arenanet Official for a review. If after that the suspension still stands I’m very very sure that they did what they are accused off.

Also from the forum rules:

‘Do not post on behalf of a suspended or banned user.’

So what you are saying is breaking the rules you agreed too as well. Guess it’s not just your friends having issues with following rules.

The problem is, this thread is a rant thread. It offers no information for Gaile to use to check to see if your claims are correct. All you say is friends were banned for botting, don’t ban me. Not useful.

If you want to make a useful post. Get your friends ticket numbers and post them for Gaile to review in the thread for tickets 3 days older, here . Being of course aware that your friends were likely lying to you when they said they weren’t botting.

Southsun is notorious for huge numbers of Bots at all hours, so if they are gonna swing it somewhere that would be the place….

False positives happen and Anet knows it. If they are not Botting, then a CS ticket should be able to get the bans reversed. I get that it’s a PitA, but I’d rather Anet be doing SOMETHING about Bots than just ignoring them.
