I got banned 3 days for trash talking with the 2 trolls in LA who trash talked CO. I cannot believe it. My biggest question is how did I get banned and those 2 trolls can keep trolling? Sure I might have used some strong language but come on if you read that whole conversation, you would know who was abusing who.

I would admit that I was a bit hot headed against these 2 trolls. You have to understand what is going on in Kaineng server. These 2 trolls was trash talking Mayoken.9851, the guild leader of CO, yesterday in Lion’s Arch. Mayo got so kitten that he decided to move his guild out of Kaineng.

CO is an important part of Kaineng’s WvW efforts. Now many other Kaineng WvW guilds are being contacted by other servers to transfer over, so who knows what would happen. In other words these 2 trolls “single-handedly” destroyed Kaineng as a WvW server. Yes words can be this damaging to a server, even without foul language. We are ruined.

So yes I admit that I was a bit hot headed when I talk to these 2 trolls. And these two trolls had the nerve to trash talk my guild. Look, this is the guild that I had been with since GW1. I cannot stand that. These two guys ruined our server. Now they have the nerve to trash talk my guild and undermine my personal efforts to help the server. What kind of man can just take that abuse in the face and not say anything? If you guys browse though the chat history, throughout yesterday and today, you guys will see what I mean.

You also have to understand that I play WvW like 90% of the time I am online. So I really want Kaineng to do well as a WvW server. If Kaineng ever fails as a WvW server, I don’t know what I would do. I already transferred once from SBI, so I don’t want to move again.

Let me just say that you guys got to put things into context. Just because a person used foul language it doesn’t mean that he was the offender. He might very well be that kitten off victim that happened to use some strong language.

And allow me to suggest that, if you guys want to get rid of all foul languages, why not just have a language filter that auto converts all foul language into “kitten” in game? Why give the players the “option” to use foul language, only to ban them?

I personally don’t feel what I did today was any worst than what I did in GW1. Yes even back in GW1 there were times when I got to defend myself. And I don’t think I was ever banned in GW1. I guess you guys now got more server admins to go around banning people. But come on I didn’t even know you guys tightened the law since GW1.

I went to the support webpage, and apparently I am banned from the support site too. So I got no other way to complain about my ban except for here.

I had been playing GWs since GW1 beta. I would really appreciate it if you guys look into my case. Thanks!

1) How do you know the others didn’t get suspended?
2) They probably baited you, and when you responded, they reported you. People usually do this with alt accounts, so their mains are safe.
3) If the person moved a whole guild from your server from simple verbal fighting, you should really take another look at their value.
4) I doubt two people are able to take down a whole server.

1) Someone told me on teamspeak that they were still trolling in game after I got banned. Of course I cannot personally confirm it since I got banned.

2) All the more reason why we have to look at the context of things, not just based on foul language. And yes please add that auto language filter so you can’t even use foul language in the first place. No bans are even required.

3) Those two trolls had been trolling CO for months, from what I have been told. They had hated CO right from the beginning, and had tried to get the whole server against them. Many others joined in. And CO leaving is the final conclusion.

4) You will be surprised. WM and CO are both leaving. Many other Kaineng WvW guilds are being contacted daily by other servers, and are being offered large sums of money to transfer. Kaineng’s future hangs in the balance.

Don’t feed the trolls? IF you knew they were trolls why did you play right into their hands.

Again language filter isn’t there as a license to swear. There is no need for a permanent language filter which converts things to ** or kitten (besides, are you saying you need a language filter to stop you from using foul language and cannot be controlled yourself?). Some people happen to be able to keep their foul language only within the confines of their own group/guild.

Also, isn’t it a bit overreaction to leave a server because of two people? Just block and move on is what most people do..

Final words is, there is always a reason why people hate you but at the same time you can’t please everyone. Ignore the trolls next time.

The smart thing to do would have been to report them for abuse. Then, they would be here in the forum crying that they were wrongfully suspended. It is best to always read documents before you sign and agree to them. When you get back in game, you always have the option to report anyone that is being abusive, foul language or not.

It is actually very simple. Do not break the rules. It’s not ok to offend others. There are no ’but’s’ or ’tho’s’ to this rule. If you got offended then just report them.

There is an old internet saying ‘Do not feed the troll’. What you did was wrong. You shouldn’t have offended other players.

As for the other players, the reason they might not have been suspended can easily be that nobody actually reported them. If people decide to ignore them, move server cause of them etc then Anet will never know bout it. Bottom line is that you used faul language and you shouldnt have done that, no matter what the cause was.

I really understand your anger, but I have to agree with Anet’s decission here.

Why in the world do people even get into these altercations? The guild leader should have blocked them. If people didn’t encourage these behaviors by responding to them, it would have a better result. Block is your friend. If you respond you make them important, if you ignore (block) you make them insignificant.

You didn’t win a cookie for defending your honor, you won a ban. Basic truth, don’t feed the trolls.

Again language filter isn’t there as a license to swear. Depends on what objective Anet have. If the objective is the prevent swearing, then nothing beats an automatic language filter. If the objective is to ban people, then carry on with the current system.

Allowing people the swear, while banning people that swears, have little logic.

I’m going to guess it’s a matter of WHAT you said, rather than just replying to them..

Like I said these two trolls had been trash talking all WvW guilds (not just CO) for months. And they managed to get other small guilds to join in the fun. It is a mob of haters against WvW guilds in Lion’s Arch everyday. It is not healthy at all.

That’s why blocking them won’t help. They are poisonous to the whole server. And so someone got to talk against them in Lion’s Arch.

Go guest in Kaineng sometimes. You will see what I mean.

I am an important commander in Kaineng and I done a lot for the community. After I got banned, many people came on teamspeak to ask if I am leaving too. As I said Kaineng’s future hangs by a thread and hangs in the balance. It is not good to have any sort of rumors flying around right now.

God forbids that I actually care.

So, they are trolls and being annoying, encouraging others in their trollness. And just what did you gain by stooping to their level? If you block them you can’t see what they are saying. Sooner or later they will either give up, say something that will get themselves banned or be annoying enough that the other people hearing them in map chat will start telling them to shut up. Just think of them as yapping, little cowardly curs and IGNORE.

If you do speak, take the high road. Make THEM look like fools by you always being cool, calm and rational. Laugh at them. Point out their logic flaws. When you find yourself losing your temper, stop responding. NEVER respond to them in anger. When you do, you lose and they win.
