Guess he didn’t get caught by the banhammer because he’s more than 50 levels below me, wears generic-coloured armour, plays warrior class, didn’t do any of the Halloween events, and never uses the trading post. Sarcasm but not joking, unfortunately.

I’m joking of course but it might be better for him to avoid Orr as he levels just in case….

So everyone who is having these. What other games you play? It is time to start looking at a new game, I have d3, sc2, but I can reactivate my wow, starwars, and eve accounts.
But have no problem buying a new game if we can get a following.

Few minutes ago I was kicked out for behaviour and next perma banned. Didnt expect something like that. Played happily for about 30 minutes. What should I do now? Submited ticked but i see it will take days. Please advise. Should I forget about gw2?

Best you can do is wait for someone to review your ticket….unfortunately this brings about a serious issue, banning innocent people are STILL happening, which makes me worried that if I do get my account back what prevents them to banning us again? We don’t even know what/who is causing this.

I can answer your question how to be banned by AN. U should about now enter GW2 and for 10-20 minutes really fast press keys in AN monitored areas (higher gold income areas with better loot). I was using 1.2.3 keys really rapidly like playing piano and I think it caused my permaban.

Regarding the wait, there have been cases of people given their accounts back after a few days. IF you are lucky the support team will review you ticket and clear you, if you find yourself without a response after 3 days there is another thread here where you can post. After that I honestly don’t know…I’m almost at 3 days so I guess I’ll find out.

They just lost their minds. But killing customers is never good idea. I am sure they will undestand this shortly. I think about all this situation and get good idea:

Lord Freeze – Former D3 player here (Monk & Demon Hunter). I left it in favour of GW2 and because it was getting rather repetitive and boring, but at the rate this is all going, I’m scared to death that I’ll never have my account again and will be forced back into Diabloland. If I miss the Lost Shore event because of this foolishness, I’m joining you in WoW. Not really an FPS or sci-fi kind of girl though, honestly So the pickings are a bit slim when it comes to good MMOs, for me at least. Also playing the latest Assassin’s Creed at the mo, but it can’t hold a candle to how much fun I was having in GW2 until this happened. The players in general are so nice and helpful here compared to the “kids” in D3 hahah

Hi Gaile, first off I want to say I really appreciate you working hard to communicate with the players.

I’ve bought the Guild Wars 2 game from the official website with my own credit card (Nov 2), but for some reason I got suspended (Nov 9), and the ticket reply told me that I was a fraudulent buyer. They told me to buy the game again, so I did (Nov 11). After 24 hours (Nov 12), my new account which I bought from the official store with my own debit card (a different one from my first credit card) got suspended yet again. Of course I filed a ticket, but I expect to get the same answer: saying that I’m a fraudulent buyer.

I’ve been reading through this forum for the last few days, and I realized there are many other people who share the same issue. You do have to understand that it’s quite frustrating for the legitimate players who have no clue of what is going on, and this is all the more true because we have no idea if the support team is treating this seriously or not.

So this is what I want to know: does the support team recognize this problem? How much of a priority is this issue at the moment? I really want an honest reply, not the routine “support is aware of this issue and is working on it.” (unless that really is the case).

Is this issue considered somewhat trivial? Or is it a high priority for the support team? How is the progress: have you started to analyze this problem, or have you found out the cause for this issue? I just want to know whether support is working on this issue and how much of a progress is made so far.

Ok now really people!… What kind of company in the year 2012 takes the luxury of banning, canceling customer’s accounts, no refunds and then hides behind vague and outrageous policies and doesn’t even give reasons why they just took your money. This company must be a credit card company? A bank? No, no, I got it, it’s a government agency, you know the kind that says on their wall: “YOU NEED US, we don’t need you!” Wrong again! See! I was wrong so many times, I deserve to have a fly-by-night outfit take my moneys hence I have so much to give indiscriminately to this type of company. Honestly the writing was on the walls and TOS’s and anything else they can use.

All is 3, including myself, 2 of us were grouped, 1 was not in group. 3 isn’t many, but when they are all in your guild and you know they aren’t bots, its kinda strange.

I was just doing a jumping puzzle… How many bots do you see doing jumping puzzles? If I ever get my account back am I going to have to start avoiding those too? As well as events or anywhere there might be other people, random named or not? lol. The puzzles are my favorite thing about GW2 so that would really suck.

Great! Im not alone, 1h ago i was leveling my char in Kesseex Hill (SBI), when…. BAN!
Im sad to see that wasint a single mistake, was a mass mistake. Everyone in teh group was ressing ppl, dodging, thanking ppl for help… I have been in Orr and reported a lot of botters, and no one there were botting or afking… well..
I just really hope that Arena Net fix this ASAP.

My goodness, imagine playing all of GW2 in Lion’s Arch. Dynamic Quest idea: run from Mystic Forge to the Asura Gates and back again. Over and over again! Not particularly dynamic, now is that.

This heavy sarcasm isn’t directed at you, it’s just that I’m terribly irritated with the fact that the only real action that I can take is to chainsmoke my last few cigarettes, sit like a useless lump and wait for a support email that may never arrive. Of course, perhaps it’s safer this way, because if there were a phone number to call, I would probably be yelling myself blue in the face at this moment to some poor customer support guy.

I would like to know too. I was suspended on November 6th after buying the game on November 5th. I filed a ticket on November 7th, got escalated to the payment review team and haven’t heard anything from them since.

Gaile was collecting information yesterday evening in the Blocked/Suspended/terminated—Player’s comments thread. So you might want to look through that thread (around page 28 or so I think) and post the information that she requests there, but that thread is so filled with people complaining about being banned for botting that it might get lost.

well now, just as i was sitting down in the cursed shore with my party, doing some DE events to gain some money and karma, i go to grab a drink, and when i get back this is the message i get

now, not once have i ever botted, used macro’s or tried to “circumvent idle time restrictions?”, sure i have spent quite soem time thre farming for karma and gold, as it has been the weekend for me, but i do not see why i was banned, does anet bann people just because they like to play a lot? because that would be ridiculus,

I was just doing a jumping puzzle… How many bots do you see doing jumping puzzles? If I ever get my account back am I going to have to start avoiding those too? NCSoft has a customer service line. I called them yesterday they were actually pretty helpful, no waiting time either.
