I sent in a ticket early yesterday I believe, still haven’t heard back so I figured I’d post here in case someone happens to see this and has some way of solving the issue.

I completed every achievement listed for Blood & Madness including ‘A Royal Tradition’ and never received a mask for it. Several people at the event were complaining about the same thing but I didn’t think much of it at the time, I just assumed that it was a bug and it would be hammered out.

However, that doesn’t seem to be the case as I never wound up receiving it.

You only got the mask from doing mad king says and the achievement “a royal tradition” was at the end of it, however it was bugged at the start of the finale and not everyone got the item, they patched it and subsequent visits gave out masks, I was affected by this and after the patch returning to the finale and taking part till the end gave me mask.

I would ask the following questions,

1 did you do the event asap when it was ready,
2 did you definitely open the chest at the end
and 3 did you do it at any other time.

I don’t think I did it ASAP, but I can’t really remember to be honest. I believe I waited a day or two.

I believe I opened the chest, but it never showed up in my bag. I assumed that it was an issue that would be hammered out and that I’d receive it since I had the achievement completed in my achievement log, but it never showed up and no message from ANet, so… I figured I’d post about it.

You couldn’t have “waited a day or two” because Mad King says was only on Halloween. It was a 1 day thing. So either you did it or you missed it.

from what I understand he was actually there on the 30th and the 31st doing his mad king says thing, so that people had more than 1 chance, so waiting a day is a viable option, although to my knowledge waiting a day shouldn’t have ran into this bug.

That may be the issue if your not sure you opened the chest or not. After the event, you had to walk over to where the mad king was and open the chest that was on the ground, if you did not open it, you would not get the mask.

I have a feeling I missed the chest. I sadly don’t recall it.
