Can I be banned for this?!
No you probably weren’t banned for Overwolf. Lots of people used it.
You should contact support about this. This is the wrong forum.

This does not interact with the game, and should be ok.

And what about if I use MadCatz R.A.T. 7 Mouse’s offical driver programming for auto 10-click at opening bags? (This even makes COD Semi-auto weapons fire as Auto, lol)

Anything that automates any game play function, even opening bags, can lead to a ban. FYI, even using that in COD online can and has lead to a ban.
Dear Mr. Gaile Grey
I was banned for it . What consequences will be taken next? I would ask you to contact us via e-mail in order to transfer from your other colleague’s decision which was sent to me !
As for the file:
in that case, was accused of using illegal programs, third and imposed a penalty on me " lock " your account. The program does not interfere in any game and I got the penalty ! I am not a crook , and I never used any , I repeat ANY web game that is single player . I’m a computer scientist by training ( during training ) , and I know what can hurt my game. I do not feel any guilt or any fraud on my part. Here you go about blocking on my Google account Autheticator and remove any such distributions and EVERY sentence that was imposed on me! As soon buy a new computer (it seems almost more than 830 Euro) and I’m going to continue to play this game! Components of computer I choose the most smooth and satisfactory gameplay !
Thank you for quick contact .
Regards, Sephareth .

With any and all third arty applications you will always have a risk, but I don’t think you got banned for that particular application.
There’s at least 10 members of my guild that use it.
It may have been something else.
Did you use any other third party program? Did you download it from the official site? Did you use some sort of plugin for it?
You could try adding your ticket number int he sticky review thread, and Ms Gaile Gray will review it :p
You’re very unlikely to be banned for over wolf if I remember correctly one of the staff even use it

Hi, I’m was just going to install Overwolf which is an optional add-on with Teamspeak. I don’t want to get banned for Overwolf.
It seems to have some neat features, is this okay to install Yes or No?
Question is for GW2 official reps. Thanks.

I highly doubt that you were banned for using Overwolf. The game does nothing to the game files, or interferes with the game itself but solely relies on the API that Arenanet themselves released. It doesn’t violate the Terms of Service in that respect or give you an “Unfair advantage”.
It’s quite possible that there was something else on your computer that you aren’t aware of.
We’ve never heard of someone being banned for using Overwolf (with concrete evidence to back it up), but we definitely keep an eye out for these things. Is there any info from Anet as to that being the certain thing that got you banned?

Yes, it’s safe to use and install. You have nothing to worry about.

I think your fellow players are right — I highly doubt that you were banned for this program. Here’s a scenario: someone eats a doughnut while driving, and drives down the freeway at 100 MPH. He gets a ticket and says “I was caught for eating a doughnut!” Not exactly the case.
Your account was terminated, you’ve appealed, your case has been reviewed, and you’ve been given an answer. If you would like further review, you can post in the Tickets for Review thread, but be aware that the cases where a decision about botting is overturned are about as rare as diamonds in doughnuts.
