Guild Wars 2

I was wondering if I was able to use the ingame music from Guild Wars 2 in Guild Wars 2 videos, I’ve been desperate to use “Snakitten Workshop” from the OST for a while and thought it best be wise to ask before I go ahead. It was going to be used for background music and I thought it’d be a nice touch seeing as I only play Asuran.

Anyway, TL/DR ; Am I allowed to use music from the OST if I give proper creditation/links about where to purchase the Album?

I have a partnership through a gaming network so I get money via that as opposed to being a youtube partnership. (Youtube as a network itself no longer partners gaming channels)

Edit; That’d make it alright as long as I credit (EG; Artist/iTunes and such)

Please note that if any element of the use breaches our User Agreement, Rules of Conduct, Naming Policy, or Content Terms of Use, then said use is prohibited.

I’d basically be using it as background music for my updates about Living Story and such, I use a template whenever I use music that I either have rights or permission to use;

Also note that Anet has the rights to ask that the use of their content is ceased. Of course, most companies have a clause like this to protect themselves, and YouTube would have to comply.

It’s good that you’re giving credit where credit is due. More people should be just as considerate when using copyrighted content.

Aha, it’s alright, it’s not my content so it’s always best to leave credit, it took people a lot of time, effort, and love to make that music, least I can do is show them where to get it!
