Can't buy gems in game?
Sometimes I’m told that if you select the graphic for the type of card you are using, the confirm button will then become active. Other than that, it would be good to talk to Support by filing a ticket through the “Ask a Question” tab on that linked page. They should be able to assist you or at least explain why the purchase is not going through.

I’m having an error causing the same problem, however, not with confirmation. Instead no matter what way I attempt, I can’t seem to successfully purchase gems. I get to approval and it always fails. I’ve tried 2 cards, and paypal, which gives me an error when the purchase goes back to guildwars2.com… q.q
i tried everything suggested and even opened a support ticket. 2 days later i have had no help. the confusing thing is that i was able to purchase gems the first 24 hours after i purchased the game on 3/25/13 but after yesterdays patches i was unable to.
i really enjoy this game and everyone has been so kind but i am beginning to feel frustrated and ignored. is there a way to purchase gems from the website rather than in game? so far no work-arounds have been successful for me.
thanks for the time and thoughtfulness. i hate to say good-bye to a game i like because of a technical bug. so i would value any solutions. (i even purchased a new account to see if that would work and it did not)

Chytrine/me =>same prob here. even talked to bank, they don’t even see reject and they say card(s) are fine. even offered to contact NCSOFT to talk it through but this game has no phone support (per my conversation with email support) this is on GW2’s end somehow.

Having the same issue. All my bank cards have money, paypal etc, tried every way possible to purchase gems, and still get the failed attempt.
Can you give me your support ticket numbers? I’d like to review these to see what’s going on. I’m surprise that someone has waited two days, and I’d like to see if we can do better with that turn-around time.

Don’t know how to submit a support ticket. Friend just tried his card and he can purchase gems, but not me.

You’ll need to create a support account – your game account won’t work.
Log the support ticket with as much info as possible (and keep a copy of the reference numbers – although a copy will be sent to your email) From my experience they’ll help you as soon as they can…I’m sure you can appreciate they must have A LOT of tickets to attend to…fret not they will get to you.

I don’t know if you’re having the same problem I am, but I’ve been told that my account is flagged for possible fraud. I found this out from support because both CC’s and PayPal just say approval failed. The CC one is particularly bad since it makes it sound like the problem is on the CC side, whereas NCSoft is one the preventing the purchase.
It’s infuriating since I’ve never had any payment issues with NCSoft before, I know I have perfect credit since I’m going through the process of buying a ahouse, and they refuse tell me why my account is flagged.
I am a long time GW1 player and I’ve been playing GW2 since the open betas. What do I have to do to clear my name?
I’m missing out on stuff because I have to go through this whole rigamarole to get gems (24 hour sales, guild influence buy for bounties etc….), and the whole thing has me extremely frustrated.

Im having the same issue.
I have bought gems in the past and had my credit card saved, i tried again after the patch and was told that the details where incorrect.
I retyped the card detail – nothing
Tried another two cards – nothing
Same issue, made 3 small credit card payments in a row on the 27th March to try my luck with the black lion keys for the fused weapon skins. The 4th payment later in the evening was refused and every other attempt (yesterday and today) as well. I checked with the credit card company this morning and all 3 earlier payments had been executed without a hinch. From what I’ve read on the french and german forums where identical problems got reported, the succesif payments gets you flagged as a fraud by Anet and no information on how to remedy this. Support tickets other players submitted didn’t help either. This is very sad especially scince it’s obvious that you’d choose small successif amounts because every try might be the lucky one.
btw. nice to see you on the forums Gaile Gray, I miss your “ingame apperance events” from GW1, those were epic.

Thanks for the quick response on my ticket, guess others didn’t take the time to return to the forum after receiving aid.
In short : my credit card skills are on a 24hour cooldown due to several failed attempts in a short period of time. Any attempt made during the cooldown will reset it to it’s full duration.
Don’t know what caused the first fail, but i shouldn’t have spammed attempts afterwards. Gonna wait patiently now and see if this indeed solves the problem.

I’m also trying to buy the game code during the discount, I have tried over 20 cards!!! (4 are mine, and others are my friends) but none of them worked!!! And the game have a really bad service, I emailed to support, but always reply me with the same email, didn’t give me any help!!! I also tried to change different email account and change my browsers, but never work!!! Now I know why this game has only a few players, because no one can buy the game successfully!!
who can HELP me, I just want to buy the game and play! Amazon would spent $20 more than the offical website, but I can’t buy on offical website.
Only customer support can help. Have you tried sending in a request for help to them?

to anyone having the same problem as OP (I.e. confirm is greyed out even after putting in all your information), I finally got it to work by hitting the back button, changing the quantity, then changing it back to what you desired and the confirm button lit up. Hope this helps anyone searching around with the problem.

I had this issue also, it was greyed out until I actually went to a trading post vendor and did the transaction.
Use the trading post itself.
Hi, im having the same problem tried on two diffrent cards tried using paypal .
Fill out all the information and then does not accept at end.
Having the same problem. I know i have plenty of money on ALL!!!!!!!! accounts I have tried. This is ridiculous. Have contacted the relavant banks and they have repoerted no problems on their end. What’s up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Having same issue:
Enter purchase info, goto next tab, confirm is grayed out, and where it shows what I’m purchasing is blank.
My friend and I have both had this problem, only with me it’s gems with her she couldn’t even buy the game when it was on sale and had to buy a physical copy for full price t play with us. has anybody found a fix for this yet at all?
You would need to discuss the issue with the CS Team. Top of Page – Support – Submit a Request.
