Q:

Is it possible to change it? I couldn’t find any options at “My Account” for it.
My friend recently recieved an e-mail concerning gold-selling and that her email is temporarily closed. She wasn’t playing for a while and came back. I’m afraid that her e-mail is a high risk to keep playing safe, since she used that e-mail for almost anything and is probably like 5-10 years old. I told her to use a new e-mail when she created her GW2 account but she was too lazy. That was not even the first game she has been hacked in…

A:

Whoever might want the email associated with their game account changed, would need to contact Customer Support. They could do so on the new email they wish it changed to. Customer Support will help with this. Top of Page – Support – Submit a Request. Good luck.

It can be. Or it could be one of the many phishing emails going around that use that ‘reply’ address, as well. It depends on the email.

We just found out that there was a fake adress in the e-mail. There was something with “http://account.gu1ldwars.com/…” in one of the links. Plus her account is “supposedly” closed due to gold selling and this e-mail was only 2 days old. Pretty short for a ban in my opinion.
So it’s all good. Her account was never used for gold selling. She will still change her e-mail for the future.
