Hi guys, I have some questions about the client region.

I’m currently living in Portugal (Eu region), but I’m moving to Brazil next year, so I will would like to know what steps I should take to keep playing the game with my currently character over there.

I’m pretty positive that Brazil is tied to the US region, and to my understanding I won’t be able to log in using my currently Eu client. So my questions are:

A) Will I have to create a new account to use the US client or can I still log in with my currently account?

B) Is there any way to buy a US digital copy while I’m here on Europe?

C) When logging in using the US client will I have access to my currently character and gems (which will eventually be used to server transfer)?

No that doesn’t matter. You will still be on the EU server. Your ping might be bad though.

You don’t need to do anything really, just confirm the new IP location.

The 2 different server types just serve as storage for your data. Where you access it is unimportant. If you absolutely really want to switch, you can buy gems to switch from a EU server to an AN server.

Your account it yours and you can access it everywhere.
So there should not be a problem, unless the country itself has limits to access.

As for changing servers, you could do that by simply buying a transfer with gems, keeping your existing account. Or if you wanted some sort of fresh start, you can also delete all your characters and then move for free. It will render some items useless and delete the ones you didn’t put in your bank.

That post is from ~18 months ago, and…yes, indeed….they changed their policy at the time of game release. The only restriction, as far as region-locking goes, is that one must purchase the key for the client in the region where the game will be registered. Once that is accomplished, and the game is registered, you are free to play from any region.

Yes. The one-time verification system simply confirms that you have purchased the correct version of the game for your area of the world. Once that has been confirmed, you may play from any location you desire.
