Is there a way to contact Arenanet directly? I’ve got a friend who has’nt ben able to log in since GW2 came out and Anet seems to just ignore his cries for help. I really did’nt expect this from Anet.. If possible can an admin help me?

Hi Aardwolf,

You say your friend isn’t able to log GW2. In which way exactly? I mean does the game not run, or the account name/password are stated as “invalid” or any other problem? I ask this because depending on which the solution will be different.

Has your friend sent a ticket to support regarding this issue?

If you could answer these questions, so at least we can roll out what can’t be we would be thankful.

He gets stuck at the login screen when it says verifying the e-mail address, but no email goes through. his last ticket he sent was in August, with no reply, so he kind of gave up, but the other night we changed his e-mail address, because he wanted to try again. He changed it to an old address, but his parents had closed that account, so now he can’t log in anymore.

I see….I would suggest changing the email again to a working account and seeing if this time your friend does get the veirification email. If negative, you will have to contact support. I am sorry that they didnt answer last time…

He can’t change the e-mail because if he tries to log in (the game and the GW2 website) the system first needs to authenticate the attempt. The authentication e-mail is then sent to an address that no longer exists.
