Done with this hacking bullcrap!
ANet has not been hacked. Your computer is most likely compromised. Reformat.
The police can’t protect your stuff if you leave every door to your house open 24/7.
If you are not satisfied with the product or service, they are giving out refunds if you bought the digital game through the guild wars site. I suggest you do that.
I do not think the hacking is part of ANet. The security protocols on IP authentication alone should prevent your account from being hacked. You should reformat your PC and setup firewalls and WPA2 to prevent. As a member of the computer industry most people have the most ridiculous passwords. Make sure you insert at the very least one uppercase, special character and number in your password and make sure it is longer than 8 characters to prevent future hacking.
My password was setup with 25 character all ranging from letters numbers and whatever else i can fit in there. My pc is protected very well. Im not someone that just thinks that having virus protection is gonna do it. I have antispyware/malware firewalls everything that I need to be secured. Ive been playing WoW since it came out and never had a single problem even before authenticators were around. And ty Avandis I will be looking into getting one appreciate the positive feedback.
Obviously it isnt. jarriskin. You say you are completely secure, but obviously you have lacked in some regards to computer security.
Also, it seems very convenient that you have all that security on your system. Just like the other few thousand people that say they have been compromised do.
Look i really dont give a solid crap what people think on here lol I wont be around long I put in for my refund and good luck to the many thousands that have gotten hacked. Buh Bye!
Why did you make a thread where you blame Arena Net for your lackluster computer security if you don’t “give a solid crap” what we think?
Thats up to you, but blaming other people and also spouting profanities when the problem lies with you wont achieve much. Whatever game you choose to play next, have fun, until the keylogger gets the login details for that game too!
Apparently you don’t care but you are truly a moron if you disregard the advice people are giving you to clean your computer. Just wait til someone steals your bank account information.
- 1 Reformat
- 2 Change Password on E-mail
- 3 Change Password on Game
[Example of a Strong Password: H3><@|>eCimal]
- 4 Reset ALL Security Question
[Tip: Make ur security Question a Password instead of a Obvious answer]
- 5 Make sure your browser is set to “Private”
[Example to set Explorer to Private Mode: “C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe” -private www.google.com"]
- 6 Delete Accounts you no longer use that maybe related to your GW2 Account or have any possible trace to that account. (Check forums you’ve been to and delete/request a deletion of that account). If they fail to delete it put a randomize Password such as )U@IOUDJ(&Y(AHUHA5606484a9a8y as the password so its “locked down”
Maybe we should give the OP a break? His forum account was probably hacked too due to his personal information being readily available to hackers. /sigh
>OP
Even if you quit GW completely, do realize that this is only the beginning of your troubles since your e-mail is also compromised. Pray you don’t have online access to your bank accounts with that e-mail.
I lol’d at the ignorance and rage of the OP.
There’s plenty more soon to come if this is how he’s going to fix his problems by crying and running away than being smart, taking advice and stopping it at the source.
Moron.

At a glance this all seems like solid advice.
The key thing is, something is giving out your info, and it’s truly not coming from us. (Hence you see only a couple of threads about repeat hackings, amongst a couple million games sold.) I agree with the others, there’s something on your system that, despite your best precautions, is giving out your credentials. Trojan, keylogger, call it what you may.
I strongly encourage you to “reset and start again,” but naturally if you wish to obtain a refund, and you purchased from us, we will oblige.
