am from the middle east, and one of my friends want to buy the game " EU edition "
Will he be able to play with me on the US servers ? and if he can will it be lag-free ?thanks in advance
As long as the account is registered in the proper region — EU in the EU region; Non-EU (also called “North America”) in a non-EU region — he can then play from anywhere in the world.

Yes, he can play on NA servers. As to lag, many people say they have little to no lag playing in regions other than their own. YMMV.
I play from Australia, and anybody who knows aussie internet knows that it’s not the best in the world. Yet I do not lag in GW2. I don’t think you have anything to fear in regards to latency.

Can I ask, were they able to pick europe server from a game bought in NA. Because from what I was reading, the game code has to match the region it was bought in, and the server set of that region.

Yes. You must register the game in the region in which you bought it. Register only. Once registered, you may choose any server the game offers to create your account on, and then play on that chosen server from anywhere in the world. You can also guest to any other server in your chosen server’s region (except for WvW play).
