Email Authentication suddenly enabled?

That is certainly unusual! I am inquiring about this now. If you did not enable authentication, is there someone else who could access your account — perhaps a family member or friend — who may have done that?

My wife uses this computer and plays guildwars2 as well (she is the one that keeps buying gems to get minis .) however she isnt the most technically savvy and wouldnt access GW2 outside of the actual game.

It is possible that you had it enabled this whole time, but had “remember this network” checked when you authorized it some time ago. Some ISPs may lease IPs for a lenghty amount of time (for example: mine ISP keeps IP bound to me for at least month or until i forget to pay for internet) but when they change it – email authorization kicks in. I think there is nothing to be worried about.

No I hadn’t enabled any authenticate methods though I NOW have it set to remember my network so I dont have to bother, still thanks for the thought. Eh whatever I suppose guildwars is evolving and self aware now .
