I’ve just been hit by gold spammers. Since it was made clear to me the last time I mentioned this issue in the forums that it was a forbidden subject I’m raising it here. I have blocked and reported the account responsible – but wanted you guys in on the ground floor to know that it’s happening again and you ought to watch for it. Thank You. GW2 Player since 2012 – so these incidents make my blood boil.

Block and report so ANet can close down the account, which typically takes less than a day.

What more do you want ANet to do?

Nothing more ArenaNET can do when you think about it – except perhaps add the IP address (assuming it’s fixed) of the offender to a database. I was hit four times in less than sixty seconds with two of the offending names being more or less similar. And if you read my opening comment you will notice that I did indeed block them.

You know that it’s a forbidden subject in the forums, so you’re posting about it in the forums?

Posting here does nothing, the thread will be locked and you may get an infraction. Report the spammer in game and let the GMs deal with it.

You know that there is nothing more that ANet can do, and whether or not they can block the IP address is something they already have looked at I’m sure, and you know that posting this topic on the forum is not allowed.

So what is the point of starting this thread?
