So I sent my guild mate 183 gold to aid him in getting the Golden Achievement which I sent with no problem but as soon as he got it and tried to send it back it would not let him. First he was able to send only 50 then an hour or so later he could only send 25 and now many hours later he can’t send any. Is this a bug or working as intended because I would like to have my gold returned…..

Is your guildmate new? There is a restriction on new users for the amount of gold they can send. It is lifted with time and play.

There is not a lot he can do besides send it back in small amounts.

This is true. New accounts have restrictions in place to prevent RMT companies from making new accounts to funnel Gold sold.
