Arena Net, please deal with this quickly and swiftly. Its disturbing, annoying and completely unnecessary. Several MMO’s are able to deal with spammers and gold sellers/power levelers with 100% success (Eve Online, Rift to name two).
Every day when I login I need to report and delete several e-mails. Several times more I need to report spam in chat and block the person. It’s not a good way to start the game.
OFC Anet are on the case of gold spammers .. why wouldn’t they be when there is a cash shop in game ?
Powerlevelers ? I assume you mean people advertising game services… again ofc Anet are on the case of those people advertising in game …. why wouldn’t they be ?
I have personally seen advertising over a couple of days .. it has hardly been rife …
Certain servers certainly do seem full of them. My husband’s account was recently stripped. When we got it back, he logged in to the server which the thief transferred him to. Every message, over the course of the 5 minutes he was on that server assessing the damage to his character, was gold-spam/account services spam. That makes me think it may be a server they’re congregating on.

With all respect, but your post added absolutely nothing, I never asked anything so why you are compelled to reply with so many words only to say nothing at all is beyond me.
At least the next person is able to confirm and add something. The issue is real and for a developer it can be valuable to get feedback from their customers, even on what seems like trivial things like spam to you.
Too bad they using stolen accounts! these thieves already tried to log on mine and few other guildies accounts aswell from china..!!! so watch out your mails!!! Another bad thing is that when true owners got their accounts back.. they will probably be blocked by at least 50% of community for spamming…
Dear Anet.. you really should add in to game some kind of protection like PIN code used in Aion etc..
My server isnt too bad as far as gold spam, yeh everytime i login i get about 5 spam mails and the /m has the odd seller spam but the bots are ALWAYS online. in the same places too but nothing is ever done. Seens Anet are more concered with other things atm such as banning innocent players.
The goldspam is nowhere near as bad as diablo3 tho. That got quite amusing at times.
Unfortunately they are not going to go away as long as people continue buying gold from them and continue using login credentials they’ve used elsewhere. It’s essentially free money for the RMT gang. They don’t have to spend money on games as they can go through lists of emails and passwords and find ones that work and then rob those accounts of everything. They can then spam /map chat using those accounts they obtained for free, and then sell their freely acquired gold to people stupid enough to buy it.
Sadly there will always be people willing to either buy gold from them or pay them to have their accounts power leveled, which is illogical… why buy a game and then pay someone else to play it for you?
I left FFXI years ago solely because Square Enix was doing absolutely nothing at the time about the RMT problem. It does seem ArenaNet is at least trying to squash the maggots when they appear.
