Hello dear people

Our guild leader got banned for the snowflake (Unjustifiably but that is by far a separate topic) and is currently trying to get his account back.

Sadly for the guild it means we can’t activate any bonuses/do much really. As the only officer I can invite but that’s about it. Although it’s a relatively small guild (probably 100 regulars) It means I can not promote and just sit while the guild influence points stack up uselessly.

Is there a way to gain access to the abilities of the leader in case he can never get his account back? It seems a real shame to try and organise a new guild especially when this one has picked up a lot of influence and we have a nice little community going that I’m worried will suffer because of this.

This question was not new and it was answered that way.

Nevertheless, I would suggest to write a ticket. Maybe there is something that can be done. Try it. I would do so.

So just to make sure I am clear if a guild leader is lost unexpectedly for any reason and there was no co leader it basically decapitates the guilds ability to function?
and from michaels post it was stated there was no way anet could assist with this?

Selecting a guild leader is a private matter. If there is a leadership dispute and Anet gets involved, it can get really dirty. So naturally Anet is not keen to do something.

If a leader was banned, there is a different situation. Although the reason for the ban rests with the player, Anet doesn’t want a guild of innocent leaders crippled because they won’t do something.

Still the issue remains touchy – not easy.

I suggest that you submit a ticket and explain the situation. Provide the guild name, name of the player whose account was terminated (the leader), and suggest the next-senior officer or officers as the new leader(s).

Sorry, Gaile; I’ve already tried all of these for one of my guilds, plus other alternatives. Support flat-out said they do not offer any such services.

This is one of those things that needs to be looked into.

At this time if the Guild Leader has been absent for 6 months as ours has there is nothing they can do. Could not give an answer for a fix in the near future.
