You will have to contact support as they are the only ones who can answer your question. Top of the page then make a request at top right.
And no, they don’t block for inactivity. My guess is you were hacked. You might want to run a security check, including checking for keyloggers. They might have access to your email so you might want to change the password for that after you are sure your computer is clean.

I am expert on computer security, is part of my job (I am not trying to be arrogant, sorry if this look like that). So, nothing is wrong with my computer or email. As I said, my GW2 account is fine, plus who is “hacking” GW1 accounts today? for what purpose? come on.

It was banned. Either you did something or someone else did. Those are the options.
As for who is hacking Guild Wars 1 accounts, the game is still active. I have logged on several times in the last few months and seen people still playing. Maybe not lots of people but the game isn’t dead. Since hacked accounts cost little, it doesn’t take much to make a profit from them.

Inactivity, that’s what I did.
I guarantee no one has access to my email, and my GW password never leaved my computer ever (excluding the game client that obviously should be using secure connection to login server). I am paranoid, believe me.
EDIT: Suggestion for ArenaNet, please add IP blocking to GW1, and the ability to block an account if you are not using it.
Maybe if my GW1 account is blocked is more secure for my GW2 account, so I could forget this, but you know, I love my GW1 account even if I don’t play anymore, thousands of hours invested.

Gaile Gray confirms “GW2” accounts are not “deleted” for inactivity, that’s a good thing, but my question is about GW1, and blocking.
About posting in forums, support people browse this forums and answers questions many times, and also maybe other players could share similar issues. That’s the purpose of this section of the forums, I think.

They do not block GW1 accounts for inactivity, you have been answered several times, the answer is not going to change. Support looks at these forums, but the only answer you will get about your account is “open a ticket with support”. As Astral said, you only have 2 options, either open a ticket, or forget about your GW1 account. Normally when a GW1 account is banned, the GW2 account would be effected if they are linked, so I strongly suggest you contact support before you lose your GW2 account as well.

You can always post questions and hope for answers but some questions are only answerable by support. Why your account was banned is only something that support can answer. Absolutely no one else can tell you. However, these are the things I think are relevant.
1) they don’t ban for inactivity. They ban for reasons such as gold selling/buying, botting, or repeated abusive language.
2) your account was banned. Since it wasn’t banned for inactivity then it was banned for a reason such as above.
3) either it was you that caused a ban or your account was hacked.
4) if it wasn’t you then you were hacked and you should see to the security of your computer.
I already summited a ticked about this, let see what happens.
About “hacking”, if someone knows your email and password (that got with a keylogger) and login in your account, that is not hacking, that’s logging. Hacking is when an exploit or vulnerability is used to enter that account, and that is out of player hands. There are many ways to compromise a game account, and is not always the player fault that have millions of virus in the computer or logged in a website that is not the official domain, like most people think.

It might be in accordance with your line of work. But here taking over an account with ill will is called hacked. No offense, but terminology is not the issue here.
My ticket was not answered today. The ticket is (#2570) notice is GW1 (not GW2) support ticket. I post this here because can’t log in GW1 forums.
Also, I am having a problem with zendesk.com support system, say I am already registered, but I don’t know password, if I try to reset, no email is send. The only email I got was the Request Recieved one. All related domains are in white list.

I am not talking about terminology, it’s just a way to say this issues are not always a customer/player fault, like everybody insist.

Well, I didn’t insist on anything. Nor did I say anything about who is at fault.
Whatever is going on, you won’t know for sure till you get an answer from support.

You guys are arguing the semantics of the work “hack”. It’s natural for people that are associated closely with a field to want very accurate terminology be used, but if someone accesses your account without your permission (no matter HOW they do it), it is generically know as “hacking”. Technically, I fully understand what you are saying, but the term has been twisted by any number of uses to mean “unauthorized access” by the general public.
Most “hacks” to online game accounts are done thru data mining of old user / passwords on stolen info from old or compromised websites or the use of phishing emails to obtain the info and just log in to the account.
Fate is just the weight of circumstances
That’s the way that lady luck dances

Exactly. It’s just disgusting to me when someone say: “You was hacked”, to every single person that post in this session of the forums.
BTW, the ticket is 34 hours old right now, and only got the first automatic response.

Disgusting? Lol okaaaayy.
Then being a computer security expert and I’m also sure knowledgable on how to convey information to people who may have only the very basic concepts of computer terminology, how about you tell us the word that covers the concept “your computer was accessed by a malicious outside person” that is pithy, clear and immediately understandable to everyone at all levels of understanding. Also remembering that not everyone who posts here is a native English speaker and this also will limit what they are understanding you to say.
And saying that you shouldn’t have been told your account was hacked is not what I’m asking for because I and most of the others here are not computer security experts and we don’t know this word we could use instead of ‘hack’. So please, enlighten us.

It’s just my personal opinion. I know saying “You was hacked” is a easy way to make people understand.

I am not native english speaker. Even when I think my english is good enough, sometimes is hard to express myself in english, and could make some people misunderstand me.

Ok it’s your personal opinion that saying your account is hacked is ‘disgusting’ but you haven’t given me a word that is widely accepted, immediately understood and accessible to multiple levels of understanding that is not ‘disgusting’ to you.
I still await enlightenment.

What I saw here was, you came to the forum asking for help. When help and suggestions as to what was wrong were made, instead of addressing it on that level you immediately became argumentative and started quibbling about technicalities and the ‘correct’ computer terms to use.
I’m not a ‘computer security expert’. Most people who post here to help others are not ‘computer security experts’. In your field you should be used to laypeople using inexact terminology and this forum isn’t the time or place to be hashing it out. What pathway was used to ‘hack’ your computer was irrelevant to the discussion and you made it the point of the discussion instead of accepting a layperson’s term, which is what you should have done.

You’ve submitted a ticket and that’s good. Posting here (many times) to discuss the situation will not get you any closer to the information you seek, because only a support agent can review the account and determine what took place. And submitting a ticket and then posting repeatedly about an issue before Support has an opportunity to respond is inappropriate. This forum is not intended for immediate follow-ups, nor for expediting responses to tickets.
You may follow up if the ticket is at least three days old in the Tickets for Review thread above.
- We do not close accounts for inactivity in either Guild Wars or Guild Wars 2.
- Your account, if compromised, did not get compromised through our system.
- Please discuss with Support, to get accurate answers.
