HOW DO YOU TURN OFF THE BOBBLE HEAD!

It’s ArenaNet’s yearly April Fool’s Day prank. I don’t believe you can turn it off voluntarily. It will be over by the 2nd of April.

No option to disable… That is complete bs.

mmo is supposed to be options by user. this is my first mmo and this April fools has kind of ruined it for me. spent WAY too much on this game to play with my gf and this makes it unplayable in the VERY limited free time we have.

It started to give me a headache after a while, but I have issues with too much motion. I think the user is just cranky. It’s not really that bad for the normal person.

To Anet though: There are some of us who have motion issues in the game, we have found ways around the, while the bobble head was cute and fun, after a while, it was a little over the top, an option to turn it off would have been nice.

The program is set to activate this on April 1, change the date on the computer to April 2 and it will end. Tomorrow change the date back.

Unreliable. Regardless of what date you set your clock to it will still come back after changing zones or switching characters. Seems unrelated to the clock, especially since some people do not experience the bobble-head at all after logging in on a character, but switching characters causes it to become enabled for them.

There is currently no known way to permanently disable this…
I think we need to wait for ANet to patch a temporary disable option/pop-up into the game. Seeing as it is for one day only it is likely that they won’t bother taking the time to do it despite chasing players out of their game, messing with WvW S2, limiting what can even be done in the game if one can look past the distraction aspect, and also really upsetting a lot of people due to the disrespect of ruining their limited time available to log in.

I have seen that many people enjoy this bobble head thing – I have no issue with them enjoying it – but, I certainly do not!

This should be optional and it is not in the least bit funny to me, as I am not five years of age.

Just saw the pictures, and i think if there is really no way to turn that off i have to watch some TV-Shows this evening

Change your systemtime in the BIOS and you are good to go.

I’m amazed that people are this enraged over a joke that will only last 24hours… Perhaps consider taking the day off and do some spring cleaning, go to the library, volunteer at a school, catch up on sleep. Whatever. Then come back tomorrow when it’s all over.

I’m not enraged, i just don’t want to play the game if it looks that way. Its the same as i won’t play WoW because i think its ugly as hell

I find it very irritating. Was playing all normal went into Kessex Hills then bam., Bobble Head.

They are likely now to do something like this every year. I suggest you note it down on your calendar and brace yourselves for further ‘outrages’ of this sort. If it going to bother you that much then be prepared from now on to skip this day.

I got the big head thing last night after the new day/month switch over and didn’t know what was going on. I quit the game and restarted my computer. Then when I started the game back the bid heads were gone. Just checked – no big heads.

Likely it’s tied to server time so nothing you can do locally will fix it.

I want to know how to turn it off as well. It’s making the game unplayable and it isn’t funny. I tried all kinds of things, changing shapes, changing dates, nothing is working.

I only recently started playing Guild Wars so haven’t invested a lot of time in it yet, but if this is an intended feature I’m just gonna quit. I thought Guild Wars was a good game, but maybe I was mistaken.

Better quit. They will probably do a similar thing every year.

once a year, that’s way too often, yeah you should quit.

I also stopped using Google, ever since they came out with that stupid Google Nose. I still cannot forget that wet dog smell… Seriously, if you do not like the bobble heads, close the game and come back tomorrow. Dishing out empty threats is not going to help.

It is one day, you cannot handle for 24 hours? Why not go out and do something until its over. The world is not going to end……So my advice is to get over it and relax

Also how the hell am I supposed to know that it isn’t fixable and that it is only for one day? I spent an hour trying various ways to get rid of it. And that is why I am annoyed.

Logging out an in sometimes works by the way. Until you visit a new area, then you get glitched again. I have yet to find a way to do my daily activity.

Yeah it’s April fools, you were supposed to fall for it, you only have yourself to blame.

I’m positive the real April Fools joke was instigating all of this ineffectual “outrage,” that and the fact that it seems like everyone forgets April Fools exists, every year.
