Hackers got into my emails hacked/compromised/stole 2 of my gw2 accounts.
When I was finally able to reset passwords and set up all the extra security for said emails I then did the same for the 2 accounts .
I was able to reset both accounts passwords but when trying to log into them both accounts were terminated for “assisting in selling gold/items for real world money” which told me all my stuff is gone and sold off.
I sent in two seperate tickets for each account and within a day they gave me one account back after the investigation (and all my characters were naked with no items or gold account wide) and hours later they rolled the account back a few days and I had all my stuff…whew.
The second account wasnt returned to me and I was told because the account was used for assisting in selling gold/items for real world money that the account will stay terminated.
What the hell is that all about? Anyone else have this happen to them?
The EXACT same things happened to 2 accounts within hours of each other and I get 2 totally different responses results?

I did farm keys on the 2nd account quite often. Is that a no-no?

You would need to discuss your issue with CS as the forums are not the proper venue. You can, if you so desire, place your ticket number with a short message in the Sticky ‘Tickets for Review’.

And to answer this: no; key farming is an acceptable practice and people have also talked about doing it on the forums so you’re good there.

Just my 2 coppers…..ask them to verify that the account was compromised with dates and times. This often makes CS realize you were NOT involved in the gold selling (it sounds as if the Support agent thinks you were in control of the account during that time).

On the first account, use that ticket to ask them to roll back the account to an earlier date (before the account was compromised).

Well, after explaining step by step what I believe happened to my 2nd account. Because it is exactly what happened to my other account.
1. account hacked
2. account stripped of everything worth anything
3. account then used for wrongdoing
4. bad guys caught or reported leading to accounts closing

Still same response from same GM that did the investigation and told me the account is closed (which means he/she definitely didnt go over the accounts investigation or any info i provided from the other account i had hacked) and thats that.

So, the hackers get all my stuff, get the real life money for selling all my stuff im assuming.
I lose the real life money i paid to buy the game the many many hours i spent playing on that account.
Full ascended character, lots of saved mats in my personal guild bank.

I just bought gems to buy a few skins at the store to boot.
Seems fair right?

Somewhere someones made a mistake on anets end and i get screwed over by the kittens that stole my account and anet for basically calling me a liar and goldseller and keeping my stolen account closed.
