How did they contact Customer Support by phone, when we do not offer phone support? That’s a mystery to me!
We will have account restorations in the future, for compromised accounts. They will not be used to undo an accidental item deletion or to offer a do-over for a purchase. Accounts will be reviewed and must meet certain requirements in order to be restored.
I am sorry, but I cannot give you a timeframe for the implementation of account restorations. I do believe it will be relatively soon, though.

This is why Gaile is my favorite.
I don’t know who they got a hold of or how but they did. They were told there was no date for a rollback system and to head to a Karma gear vendor. Just want people to stick around. Love playing GW2 and want to be able to play this game with the people I like playing with.
I know there USED to be phone support as I’ve used it before to recover an account and they were very helpful and the issue was resolved. This was a long time ago during the first game, though. Since then, I haven’t found any phone support and guess it no longer exists. I’m glad to see there will eventually be an option for recovery and hopefully people who have had their accounts hacked since release will be able to use it. I’ve also had a number of friends with the same problem and it stinks to see them go. :/
My account was hacked last night. I was able to fix the login info from my end before Arena Net was able to get to it. I just wasn’t fast enough.
