Got mine to work……simply did the login to GW 1 trick and visited the hall of monuments in GW 1.

then I fired up GW 2 and everythig was suddenly there.

Thanks for that tip Shamurai, that worked for me too. I had to re-download the GW1 client. Used my new combined GW2 login. Visited the Hall of Monuments there. Logged out and then logged into GW2 and tada! My reward points were recognized. I’ll close my support ticket now. The should do a mass reply to all the tickets though with this resolution.

Hello,

My GW1 account is already linked to this one and I can see my achievemnts in the official HoM website. I can not, however, redeem them in GW2. There is no NPC in the HoM which will talk to me to give items or achievements. The Kimmes the Historian has no ‘Show me my legacy’ dialogue option.

I bought my Portal Stone from a vendor I found in-game. I recieve no Portal Stones when I create new characters.

Use your Hall of Monuments Portal Stone to teleport into Eye of the North.

From there travel north west following the carpet into the scrying pool.

Talk to Kimmes the Historian and ask him to ‘Show me my legacy’.

As I wrote, there is no such option in his dialogue. I noticed I recieve no HoM Portal Stone when I create a character. I got mine by buying for no money from a vendor somewhere (I do not remeber where…).

I remember hearing a few people had to purchase the Portal Stone from LA too.

Are you sure your accounts are linked properly?

Other than that – I have exhausted my expertise. Sorry I couldn’t help.

Sadly that solution does only work if you actually can login to GW1 with your GW2 account data. Nice to see that some people got support! I’m still waiting though. :/

I have exactly the same problem since the launch of this game, have the HOM points in the calculator, linked the accounts properly but the guy at the waterlily wont give a dialog choice for the rewards. Also, the ingame hero panel of gw2 shows 0 HOM points for some reason.

Some people have suggested that logging in to gw1 seems to fix the problem but I haven’t played it for quite a few months and have unfortunately forgotten the password. Awaiting a ticket to gw1 support for password reset at the moment…

If your accounts are linked properly the username and password will probably be the same as Guild Wars 2.

I cannot still see my stuff in HoM. I sent a screen shot of what I have comming . I have not heard about anything .Incident:120905-001193 last contact was on the 7th. I see no reason why this problem has not been fixed

yea been trying the trick with starting gw1 and going to Hall of monuments there, spoke to all the npcs just for good meassure too :P but he still says i have no items to be claimed in gw2, been waiting for an answer on my ticket since early start, and didnt bother to ask alot in the start but now its been weeks, and im starting to get really annoyed by getting only automated responses there, and no fix…

(and btw in preview half my text doesnt show up ;-) only in preview though )

I don’t have a Hall of Monument Portal Stone too despite having a linked account though I think my problem is that I deleted my first character immediately after creating him because I suddenly changed my mind and I wasn’t able to see the mail stuff.. Is there anyway to remedy this? Just learned about the stone being in the mail stuff right now…

EDIT

Okay, just walked all the way to Lion’s Arch and got the stone… Kimmes the Historian is saying how I’m not walking the same path as the hero.. anyway to solve this?

Camacho welcome to the gang :P thats about the same problem we all have here. linked accounts got points but he refuses to acknowledge that we actually do walk the same path, and this bug is low priority. so we’ll just have to keep waiting, 18 days and counting here for my support ticket regarding that annoying bug.
and all i get are these annoying (but slightly better than nothing) automated responses.

Yes I submitted a ticket 17 days ago and still no solution except for copy and paste reponses.

I just logged into GW1, entered my HOM, logged out, and went back into GW2 with the same problem.

Kimmes the Historian keeps saying

I tried this and it said that my GW1 account was no longer authorized and wanted me to purchase the game all over again XD

I’m glad I’m not the only one with this problem..

Problem: Got 2 Guild Wars accounts and the wrong one has been linked.. It’s funny when you know the history of the ticket…:
Me: Provided information to unlink 1 account and linked the other
Support: 08/26/2012 12:42 AM “we’re still investigating this issue for you”
Support: 08/31/2012 07:09 PM – asking for my personal info (Name, Adress, etc)
Me: 09/01/2012 11:39 AM Provided the information as far as I could
Support: 09/06/2012 08:20 PM – asked the same information again, with some additional “might be a solution” information, which apparently doesn’t apply to me.
Me: 09/07/2012 04:14 PM – provided the same information as in the previous post..

I opened a ticket (120828-007381) on 28/08/2012 about my issue. It has been closed without my issue being resolved. I, too, am losing patience. After waiting two weeks and only receiving automated responses, I have to wonder if my issue (GW1 account linked to wrong GW2 account) will ever be resolved or if my new ticket will be closed without any resolution, too.

Responses I’ve received to my ticket were all automated and irrelevant. After receiving a reply telling me I’ll get an update “soon”, the ticket was simply closed.

I have not been able to get another response from the GW2 team, but the GW1 team finally resolved my login issue with GW1. As others reported, the GW1 trick fixed Hall of Monuments for me.

Hope this works for everyone else and Anet can catch up so they can reply to those still having issues. Good luck!

Rather strange but yesterday evening it all of a sudden worked, my email is still undefined but i can get my HOM rewards.

Maybe logging in to you Guild Wars 1 account helps? I did that the day before yesterday but when i wanted to go to HOM in GW1 i realised i’d first have to download everything again. So it being late i just closed the game and called it the day.

So i guess you dont need to go to HOM in GW1 to make it work, but logging in might just do it for you.

Alright here is my problem with it, I have linked my Gw1 account to my Gw2 account though both are a different email address now when I check the site it says it is linked and everything is fine.
So when I get into my game I get nothing, the game sees nothing it says I don’t have anything in the hall of monumets I gone to the eye of the north by the vendor and there is nothing there.

I checked with both the emails and now it is still not working as it is getting me rather confused and not able to figure out what to do..

This is very frustrating , I worked my buns off for my GW1 HoM over the summer period so I can enjoy my rewards when the GW2 comes out. I am so disappointed and upset that I am loosing my desire to continue playing GW2.

After the ticket being open for more then two weeks, i got another useless copy/paste response that consists of performing the following steps that I have done at least dozen of times :

• Your Guild Wars 2 account is not properly linked to the appropriate Guild Wars account.
o http://en.support.guildwars2.com/app/answers/list/kw/8961/search/1
• Your Guild Wars 2 account is linked to a banned Guild Wars account.
• You have not logged into Guild Wars 2 and received a Portal Stone from Scornheart who is located at Hooligan’s Route in Lion’s Arch.
• You have not logged into Guild Wars 2 and talked to Kimmes.
o Kimmes The Historian is an NPC located in the Hall of Monuments and you can access him by using your Portal Stone.
• You have not logged into the original Guild Wars and visited the Hall of Momuments.

Hello, I logged into GW2, got my portal stone and went to HoM. The historian pretty much told me that I wasn’t important enough for rewards, but I am supposed to get 27 points. I read somewhere that I had to login to GW1 and visit HoM to get it to work, so I went to try that, only to discover that my account had been blocked for some reason. Tried changing the password, still giving me the same answer.

What should I do?

Hey guys! If Kimmes still says that you do not walk the same path with your hero in GW1, just log-in your GW1 character and visit the HoM, then talk to Kimmes, and do every option (dunno if it’s necessary) and you’ll get your items the next time you log-in in GW2.. tried it just now and I can access it now!
