Guild Wars 2

I’m completely new to this game, and I have just bought a disk copy from Game. I’ve installed it fine, created an account with no problems at all, but every time I try to log in to play, I get a message saying it can’t access the log-in server (error 42) I’ve tried a lot of things to fix it, but I can’t get it to work!
One thing I should probably mention is I am in student halls, and therefor using the student network so it may be getting blocked? I do know though that there are other students using this network for other MMO games, so any help would be great!

Right now I cant login either even though I played yesterday without a problem one thing I would suggest is if you have Avg you may need to change some of your fire wall rules like I had to do and if that dont work your probably having the same problem as me

I have Trend security so I don’t think that’s affecting it, I’ll try changing the firewall settings anyway just to double check, thanks

Is there some kinda problem with the login right now? I can’t login either, it says my username or password is invalid, even though they work fine on the forums.

It’s just saying that I can’t access the log-in server, nothing about the log-in details being invalid :/

Just thought I’d post this now, my problem has been resolved and I can log onto my account and play. It was an issue with the ports, but it’s all sorted
