REALLY ! ! ! ! My name was banned ? I really would like to know what is improper with the name Hitechredneck ? I have used this name for years. on CoH. CSS and GW1 and months on GW2

“redneck” is a derogatory term and is a clear violation of the naming policy.

That’s like saying the ‘N’ word is acceptable because some people don’t view it as derogatory and you’ve heard it in a song.

To be honest, I like the name and think it is very funny, BUT….
The issue is you may not consider it derogatory but many do.
Support will always err on the side of caution.
You can try opening a support ticket and contest their decision, but IMHO, it will probably fail and would only waste your time and supports.

That is from Webster. Just didn’t think being different got a name banned. After all. Isnt being what makes the world go around. All in All. I could see if it would have been banned soon after making the toon. But I have had this name for well over 1yr. And it only got banned after I link the stuff to make the legendary The Juggernaut. And then making the Juggernaut and linking it. To show I had worked for it and built it and not just bought it off the TP. 2mins after I linked The Juggernaut my name was banned. Seems that some kid or someone was just mad . So reported my name.

BTW. My 2nd account that my wife uses is hitechredneck . Are they going to ban the account ? Didn’t know they could change the account names

You are right about someone reporting your name. That is the way it usually comes to supports attention. As to the account your wife is using, support would never ban an account because of the name, they would simply change it. We can’t change the name ourselves, but support has that option.

Anyway, they do not have people searching the game for bad names that escaped the filter – as you said, someone reported you. It could be they didn’t like you working on the legendary, but it could of just been bad timing. Especially since 2 minutes seems quite fast.
