So the BLTC not working. (Im on a mac) So I follow the advice I find here and bam! no more account. Im dumb. dumb. I put the GW2 file back into my library from my trash and something happened but i still can’t get into the game. The loading screen tells me my account name or password is wrong but i got here using my password and i can see my account name.
So is that it then? Thoughts?

Oh, and remember…your Account Name is the email address associated with your game account, not the name you see on the forums. SONNET.9128 is your Display Name.

As well, there is a problem with all Macs at the moment in not being able to access the Black Lion Company. A fix is being prepared. See this thread for more information: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/mac/Black-Lion-Trading-company/page/5

You might be trying to log on with the wrong information. Since you can get on the forum, your account is still active.

Remember it’s email and password, just like logging onto the forum. SONNET.9128 is your display name, not your account name.

I think your problem is that you’re using a non-PC rig to play GW2 on. You need to upgrade to a Windows based computer.

While that is a funny running joke (that I considered posting myself), it’s not very helpful.

Not familiar with the Mac Client so I don’t know if has the REMEMBER USER and REMEMBER PASSWORD checkboxes, but those settings have causes issues with certain systems in the past. Try this:

• Uncheck both boxes
• Clear the fields and type in the credentials manually
• Make SURE you use your GW2 associated email address in the account field (NOT your display name).

If this gets you into the game, you can then recheck boxes when you log in later. Beyond that, you will likely need to submit a support ticket.

BTW, if you can log in here then your account is not lost.
