since release, all my drops have been nothing but crap. i have only gotten 1 exotic drop and maybe 40 rares… i’m lucky if i get 1 rare for a whole day of farming. my dad gets way better drops than me and we both have full magic find gear. am i doing something wrong or is the drop quality lowered on my account? and over the past 2 days i’ve purchased 41 black lion keys and i keep getting crap like heavy bags of coins and mystery tonics. i did get 1 makeover pack but i didn’t need it, cuz ive been trying to get 3 fused weapon tickets but i haven’t gotten 1 yet but my dad has gotten 3 already. I understand that it’s totally random, but i always get low-end drops. could you look into it for me? i would really like to know if it’s just my account or my horrendous bad luck. I wish the fused weapon tickets were tradeable so i could just buy them off of the trading post, it would definitely be easier for some people to get the fused weapon tickets. i would pay 1000~1500 gems or 10 ~15 gold for one of those tickets

Hi Hylox. It is very simple mostly bad luck.

Any other reason can be in what you farm. I have had some exotic drops, but in total maybe 3-4. But I never farm in Orr and am mostly busy with leveling alts.

There is no system that makes account have better drops, it is a RNG that decides what you get (a random number generator, like a dice, but with more then 6 sides). This dice is rolled every time you kill something.

So support cant help you cause it is just bad luck im afraid.

I’ve killed the shadow behemoth for over 50 times now without ever getting the staff final rest. My friend does it once and gets it the first time.

I think you should get your dad to play your account for a few hours. :p

Welcome to my world..

I cant seem to get a precursor to save my life. I have tried everything everywhere short of just farming the gold. I have tried the forge, world bosses, world vs world, and even the guild hunt and have come up with bupkiss for the last 6 MONTHS. I am up for any pointers if there are any that aren’t already listed on google.

Also, is there any truth behind the existence of a loot table? If there is I would very much like to see it.

Yes, there is…and no, you can’t see it because it’s internal to the system and only developers see it. Nothing of the sort has actually been released. It’s actually server-side, as well (or at least is with 99% of all MMOs), so there’s nothing on your system you can view. The wiki compiles various information from recorded drops, but it’s all from observed information.

Basically a loot table is the term for the possible sets of items you can get anytime you get loot. When you get awarded loot, the game makes a RNG check against multiple tables to determine what you get. Sometimes specific items are tied to specific mobs (such as Final Rest or Wisteria), so there’s likely a table for that mob with those specific items, but most mobs probably pull from a generic set of tables.

Rare and Exotic (and above) items have a much smaller chance of being selected than everything else. Magic Find raises the various chances a bit.

Here’s some tips while playing:

Wear a rabbit foot around your neck.
Cross your fingers.
DO NOT walk under a ladders.
DO NOT open umbrellas inside the house.
Try not to spill any salt. If you do accidentally spill salt, immediately throw a pinch over your right shoulder to ward of the bad luck.

Failing that….buy some magic find boosters…
