IP Hijacking
Tengu. Make it happen.
er. Given how you’ve described that, it’s impossible. If you have IP A, and the attacker has IP B, they cannot spoof A unless they’re physically connected to your network. And unless you’ve got a Chinese hacker in your guest room, they aren’t.
It’s just not how TCP/IP works.

Someone with a chinese ip tried to brute its way into her account(successfully) while she was still logged in— all her coin was taken after she managed to get it back, but still, explain that… since obviously I’m not an IP nerd.. she explained the jist of it like that.

Well some chinese dude tryed to log in on my account aswell, i got an email saying someone from another IP in China had tryed to log in.
I insta changed my password and never had it again.
chances are her email and gw2 account have the same password and the Chinese kiddie have her info, she should change both of her passwords and make her emails password different than her gw2s password. When someone trys to login to your account from a different region anet picks it up and sends an email to you to accept the connection. Chances are they had her email as well and accepted the message.
