Some of us morons that used the exploit and submitted the appeal through the proper process and were “accepted” are still banned. None of us seem to be able to get an official response either. My ticket keeps getting what seem to be automated responses. Truthfully I would just like to know if I should buy a new game or will I be included in the group of people who get’s to have the appeal. I have submitted a query in just about every way possible and have received virtually no answers from anyone. I suppose curiosity may have killed the cat in my case.

Mine’s still stuck at pending for the last 3~4 days as well. To clarify, while I was banned, my display name changed from Alexandriea.2901 (now, non-existent) to Lyralei.5920. I did not have any hand in this — The last response I got from support was that my account could not be found.

Would appreciate some follow up for all of us still locked out from the game. We really do want to play again and we really do want to delete the karma vendor related items, but support really hasn’t been around at all.

I understand that Monday was Labour Day in the states, but no news as of today? I’ve even had guild mates who submitted tickets many hours after getting approved.

I really don’t understand this. I’ve read online that people who used this exploit to get thousands of gems and hundreds of gold have already been unbanned.. here I am, perma banned, with 20 weapons sitting in storage ready to be deleted instead of used on my character. It’s ridiculous really.

With the large amount of people this seems to involve it’s kind of a slap in the face that they have yet to even say anything about this. They HAVE to know about it. I know I have personally sent messages in any way possible. even tried calling the company.

third oldest post on this forum and it’s looking like we are not gonna receive an answer on this medium either. Looks like I might be going to buy the game again tomorrow and just cut losses.

I dont understand why some people get their account unbanned after the 72 hours punishment and other still can’t play after six days blocked and with no plan or any information about when we will have the same right.

I just went and bought a new copy. If I get my other one back then cool. But I highly doubt any of us are going to get it back. My ticket hasn’t even been touched in a few days.

I wrote to the European Support. I really appretiate the work you guys put into the game and of course we need to be punished for what we did, but leaving someone haging in mid air is what we could call cruel and unusual punishment.
I have been approved for a couple days by now, had a GM answering me that I will be unbanned in 48 Hours. After the time ran out I asked what happened about the unbanning, but no reaction yet.

Well but when we dont get our accounts back we should get our money back or not?
I mean anet promised use to turn the permaban int a 72 hour and when nothing happens they block our accounts for no reason.
I played gw1 for 5 years and I rlly want to play gw2 but i wont buy another copy. I payed 70€ + 20€ for gems on my account and all my achieves in the hom would be gone (50 points!). I just hope I can play soon or I will try to get my money back and quit.

suffer guys, exploits are well known to be strictly against EULA if you squirming in the wind is making you edgey, you guys deserve it, compromised accounts are way bigger issues then people who exploited a bug and abused the game…you guys will be unbanned, your just not a priority compared to bigger issues, world select is a bigger issue then exploiters, to be fair, with it being such a well known rule, your lucky it was temporary.

A bit harshly stated but the core of it seems correct, the game came out only a few weeks ago so there’s a lot of stuff that needs addressing and fixing. Eventually the bans will be lifted, so sit tight and ride it out.
