hello ,
Yesterday 12 november and today i’m unable to play because i’ve more than 30 seconds delay/lag… After a while the game disconnect me from server..
Anyone have this issue or i’m the only one?
At the moment (utc 17:13) i’m trying to play without success..

If your having that much lag, the only suggestion is getting an upgraded graphics card. Depending on how old your system is, it could be a proccesor issue,or even a motherboard capacity.

I would start with a better graphics card first.

I had incredible lag right, delays in attacks, everything freezing up, before I was banned for botting, I didn’t have any problem the day before that or even the morning of that day. If you starting porting backward it’s better probably to log out for the night instead of taking the chance of getting banned by their automated system.

How long have you played GW2? Has the connection always been slow?

me too and all my guild mate can’t play because of lag since yesterday! connection is fine, some of my friend also contacted the internet support (cal-center) and they says it’s fine.
Lag= ping not fps, we don’t need a better graphics card. @shadaka.1978

There’s a difference between graphics lag and connection lag aka ping. The ‘delay’ he’s talking about is most of the time network related and not graphic related. Even if it was his hardware…. You shouldn’t jump to conclusions and get a better graphic card right away. Graphic lag can be caused by a lot more things than just your graphic card.

Maybe this needs to be moved to the tech support forum.

I have the exactly the same problem, can’t play since 12 November.

I’m atm in game but it’s impossible to play, i freeze every now and then, can’t join any area without crash very bad..
I take it’s something related maybe to our area….? (italy) :s

last night me and two toher guildies all on different isps logged off in disgust as we could not play for lag. we have all been playing since launch and wvw nearly every night.

Try not using wifi if you are and just hard wire a ethernet cord. This helped me and I also downloaded software from wtfast.com which is like 5mb and super small. The first 30 days is free to try. So far no lag or disconnect issues like I was previously having over wifi.

I was running SE explo for 2,5h the lags where sometimes 1 minute long… and before thle last boss the client crashed, some files downloaded and – the best part – I could not enter the dungeon cuz we have different client builds GOD kitten &!@^#$% so much time lost for nothing! THIS IS MADNESS :/

I am experiencing lags as well since around the last 2 days, although i (almost) never had any lag issues before. I am playing in Europe (O2/Alice provider). Lag seems to be varying between 500ms and about 2 sec. I did not change anything in my configuration.

I am still having lag in the Charr starting area and the Black Citadel. When I created the character the lag was so bad I leveled in the Asura starting area and went on from there. Now that I’m level 80, I’m back to do my story. However the lag is still so bad (10 fps max) in the charr area I’m about to just give up on it. What’s up? I can play anywhere else without a problem, but on my home turf it’s unplayable.

Same here. Just like Psi I have the same problems. Game has been laggy (seems to be more obvious around Plains of Ashford) for the past 2-3 days. My ISP is o2/Alice, too.
