Guild Wars 2

i have just started downloading Guild Wars 2. while the game was downloading i decided to log in. it said password/username combination invalid, so i logged in on the website WITH THE EXACT SAME PASSWORD/USERNAME and it worked. i changed my password and tried again. it still doesnt work even after i have restarted the game launcher twice. i am not sure if this will fix itself, but i thought i should ask for help just in case.

Make sure you are using the email address associated with your account to log into the game, as using your display name (angvl.xxxx) will cause an error. Also, if your password is saved for logging into the forums, you can check it using your browser tools (and copy/paste it), just to make sure you are typing the correct one for game log-in.

The log in for the game is the same as the forum, email and password, not the account name if that’s what you were doing.

I am not 100% sure, but I don’t think you can log into the game during the initial download. Pretty sure I have read about that on the forums before. You might wait until it has finished the initial complete download, and then try logging in.

You don’t use account name and password. It’s email and password.
