I have not yet created a support ticket, because well, its my stupidity which is responsible for this, but a guildie wanted to buy some charged lodestones and I mailed them. Problem is I didn’t create mail by opening my contacts list but by typing in his username. He did not receive the items and I fear I might have sent them to some lucky person on my list instead.

Is there any way to find out where they actually went? I’d appreciate a response. Again I’m trying not to sound like I’m complaining and I’m pretty much SOL, but I figured I’d ask.

Write each person on your list and ask? Maybe whoever got them is the honest type, and will give them back. Other than that, I just don’t know. Sorry.

I am not sure Customer Support would get involved in a dispute such as this, should it come to that.

Unfortunately, sometimes it puts in the name of someone standing nearby. It might have been someone not on your friends list.

Did you ask him to clear out his mailbox? One time I sent stuff to a guildie and she had a mailbox full of email from ANet and she told me she didn’t get it. It wasn’t until she cleared out ANet’s mail that it arrived.

I thought of that at first but I sent him his gold back and he got it no problem. :-(

Ah. Well hopefully the person you sent it to will log on and be honest enough to return them. I remember several times in the beginning of this game sending stuff to the wrong person. Either it would autofill another person’s name when I was typing or it would select someone I was standing by and put their name in. Fortunately they were all nice enough to return it. I doubt there is anything that ANet can or will do though. They tend not to correct user error, but it’s worth a try.
