Q:
Missing precursor from vault
You can speak to Customer Support about missing items. support.guildwars2.com
“Ask a Question” Good luck. =)
Hey thanks,
I’ve sent support an e-mail, hopefully it can be resolved. They don’t seem to have a drop down dedicated for missing items, have closed my eyes and picked I hope someone that will at least do me the courtesy of a reply.
Cheers and thanks for assist..
You didn’t happen to have both in your inventory at the time you sold the one did you? If you did, you might have sold both. Did you check the trading post to see if you have another for sale?
No doubt you already thought of this, but sometimes people can miss something simple. :-)
No I had only one in the bag, if I’d sold both I would have double the amount of gold which I wouldn’t grizzle about, I’d just be slightly upset that I did sell two.
I understand being human we can make mistakes but its not often that you get an opportunity to make some gold and still have a precursor left over.
As well I had it in a specific corner top left of the vault so I could see it whenever I open the vault.
Cheers and thanks for taking an interest..
It is an interesting topic though different mmo’s treat these type of things differently, Lotro have a policy in place and do help – I can understand company reticence to help and I’m sure there would be a high incidence of false reports..
But I like to think as a mature adult that happens to enjoy mmo’s I’m responsible and careful enough. So I think (even though my lovely wife begs to differ at times)
I’ve had pretty much the same. I was lucky enough to forge get Spark from the forge a few days but as a Ranger, I sold it and bought The Leaf of Kudzu. Yesterday had it in my inventory before going to bed, logged in this morning and it’s simply vanished. Got screen shots from TP to show I had it and attached that to the ticket. Not a clue if I’ve been hacked or what’s happened. Needless to say I’m currently not a happy bunny.
Well I can report an outcome…
Often we raise complaints for various things and claims for this and that, generally people don’t own up to their own mistakes.
Well today I will own up to my own stupidity, the GM’s very quickly mind you have investigated my claim and sent me an email outlining that I had sold both Dawn’s, I have no reason to doubt what they have in front of them as fact.
All I can do is apologise to them which I have and to this forum for having made a frivolous claim and wasted their time.
I don’t remember selling both as I was trading a lot of things on TP at the time..
I do feel happy that I got an answer back and the fact that this company actually investigated my claim.
I wouldn’t blame them for sanctioning my account either due to time wasted.
Cheers all..
Once again with apology for having raised this issue at all on the forums…
Andy I’m pretty sure and you should feel confident that the GM’s will at least attend to your ticket..
I just hope that you didn’t do something silly like me…. I just don’t know where my mind was…
Good luck!!!

Ow. Oh well, everyone makes misakes. :-) Well, with the money you got from the sale of the second Dawn (you did get that money right?) you should be able to buy another or cancel the sale of the second one if it hasn’t gone through.

Yeah I got a two penneth response (initially asking the exact time when the incident occurred which was a ridiculous question) and then:
“While I would like to replace or restore your items, the Guild Wars Support Team is unable to replace individual items for the situation that you have described.”
In other words they won’t. A cynic might think the idea is people get so despondent and annoyed, Areanet hope they will spend money on Gems to replace it. Capitalism in motion.
Hey ho, A bow made of flowers is all a bit wrong anyway.
