Guild Wars 2

Hi!

I was logging on to my alternate character, a level 80 engineer, when I noticed that the name of it has changed. I had originally named it Miss Nicki heat but now when I looked at it again it read Miss Nick Heat. I’ve never seen it change like this randomly..is this supposed to happen?

You read it backwards, originally was Miss Nicki, now it’s Nick Heat.

The point stands….it’s the name of a fictional character (granted in a Fictional TV show), so CS could have decided it was against naming conventions if someone reported it.

I don’t know. Never heard of CS just changing a character’s name. Usually, you can’t log onto said character with an inappropriate name until you change its name.

Unless the OP has had to change this particular character’s name multiple times….maybe then, though, again, I’ve not read any threads about such a case.

Best bet would be to contact CS and ask about the issue.

I guess you are right….I guess I’ve heard of them changing the name / tag of a Guild name that was deemed inappropriate, but a character name change is usually made via a log in dialog.

I though it was only forced name changes till I found this. Maybe it’s new.

So maybe he had a forced rename previously and this is the second offense.
