Why isn’t the player’s tp reset as well? The hacker could have easily cleared out the player’s buy orders for more cash and picked up a ton of items too, not to mention the straight cash from sell orders. Seems like an oversight to me

I think he was saying that when he reset his account the TP isn’t reset and then complained about that

Also to clarify, my account was hacked and robbed. I went through support to get an account recovery (reset). After the reset was done, my bl tp was unaffected by the reset meaning that w/e the guy managed to grab (not exactly sure how much, just a few g, could have been MUCH worse) didn’t get replaced. The reason I bring this up is because the only things restored were the items that happened to be on your character or in your bank at the time of the reset point. The items or funds that you had in your TP was not refunded.

But a question about doing the resets. I gave the support guy down to the hour when I was last logged on yet I was reset several days (up to a week but more likely 4-5 days) pre-hack. Just curious why they went so far back.

2 reasons:

1: So that you can’t just give your gold to your friend, say you got hacked, then have your gold again.

2: They don’t save backups of every character at every interval (hour) of every day.

I have a question on topic as well. Got hacked by Chineese IP address. How long does it generally take for a restore to occur? After being without my account for 8 days and finally getting it back. Now I have to wait on a roll back. Kinda makes me not want to do anything in the game as I will loose everything that I might gain. I am scared to farm areas to sell for coin and mail that coin to a friend to hold until it gets rolled back. Would I be Terminated for this? Get my friend Terminated? Simple logic would tell me no but from what I am seeing on these forums it scares the daylight outta me Incident: 121228-000737. Especially after what I went through just to get it un-Terminated.

They wouldn’t give anybody a restore if they did that. They go in depth to find out if your account was hacked by an unauthorised party and also require proof as to where all your stuff went. Also how would restoring your TP have ANYTHING to do with giving your friend your gold. The gold you send to others is from your character and your bank. You can’t send anything straight to someone (specific), for free, through the tp. Your point doesn’t make sense.
