Ok so… Apparently, my warrior has an offensive name… I havent used him in AGES and want to try to play warrior again. (Just so you know, i have used that name in all games i have played the last 10 years, and no one has ever found it offensive, since its not really… Its in Norwegian, but it might look offensive for americans, idk… but i have even asked around, noone finds it offensive)

But I had the same account name, which Anet changed to “ShadowMaster” as you can see. So i know Anet think it is offensive,… This means i wont play my warrior again, which was my first ever account. I am scared that Anet will do something to my account.

When i made it i didn’t mean to offend anyone nor did i think it would… Because when i am Norwegian and make an norwegian name i forget it might sound offensive in another language…

I thought they changed my warriors name when they changed my account name, but they didnt… Is there any chance Anet may reset or change my warriors name? I would just like to play on him without being worried…

I would gladly take a name change, doesnt matter what they change it to… Would just like to be able to play my warr again

There are 2 ways you can do a name change.

The first is to buy a name change contract from the gem store. The second is to contact support and self report your name. If they agree the name is offensive you will be given the option to rename. If you self report then there shouldn’t be any repercussions such as a suspension. That doesn’t mean you won’t get a suspension because the agent makes a mistake, but you aren’t supposed to get one.

To contact support, top of page-support then submit a request.

Oh wow, i had totally forgot about that name change contract!… facepalm I will try and contact support and see what happends, or else i guess i will have to save some gold…
