What ^ said. You will get an email. Keep that email afterwards, if you ever need to reference the serial key (for support/ account verification) it is the only time you will every see it.

This is and isn’t a good idea.
It is but only Only of done ‘right’.

The proper way to store an email with a Serial Key that had massive security threats if lost is to Print It Out and store it in a safe place. Alternately you could ScreenShot or Windows Snipping Tool the Key, and store it digitally -in an alternate location from you Inbox- Or even secure (way more so than Email!) programs like Evernote that will even allow you to access that from anywhere you have Internet connectivity (no, it’s not in any way ‘like’ email, and Big Big Corporations use it for vital information sharing. It is more secure than your Email!).
But to leave the Blazing Email Header from ANet screaming ‘Your Serial Key is HERE<<< is plain silly.
First thing that happens after a hacker scams your password?
They search every single piece of your mail for things Exactly like that Serial Key.
Then what? Then you get your account hacked and you’re blamed for keeping your Serial Key in an UnSecured Location -because there is not an Email Client that truly is Secure anymore-

This is the potentially happiness-fatal mistake Anyone can make.
Your Bank Account, CreditCard, Address, Phone Number… What More do you want to give a Hacker access to?
