Question about leaving the game on
No idea how to circumvent the rules. This would not be the correct forum. Maybe players helping players? Or leave it on the character select screen?

Since they say they will ban if you circumvent the auto kick feature, might be best to leave it on the character screen.
Yeah, well I’ve never crashed in the character select screen, otherwise I’d leave it there.
Well, thanks anyway. Guess I’m going to move my character one step forward every 20 minutes.
BTW Why on earth would they ban us for staying online? Not that I will do it after I know now, or that I know how. Just seems weird.

I guess it’s because it’s a strain on the servers, if a lot of people routinely did it.
Since you need to do it to test your computer, you might try putting your character face first into a wall, perhaps in a building like in LA or Divinities Reach, and turning on auto run and maybe making your heal autocast.
I will not leave the char auto-run into a wall. Player can think you are a bot and report you… If you want to test your graphic card, maybe you can use software who are designed to test that kind of stuff. (3d mark for example)
That will give you a more accurate view than the game.
Testing hardware shouldnt be done through circumventing the game mechanisms. The only way to do it is to use third party software that automate things.
It’s not that your goal is the issue, but what you could do with that third party software.
However, when going through your post history I saw your dumpfile. What I noticed is that you use a realtek audio chipset with the 6.0 driver set. I had some issues with pre-gw2 games with that driver set that made games crash. You might want to visit the manufacturer of the soundcard (or mainboard if it is onboard) to get the latest driver. The newest for the chipset is called 6.3 but offcourse the manufacturer could use a different naming system.
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
Yeah, won’t be a problem. I down-clocked the GPU with 50Mhz on the core and the memory and it seems fine for now.
It was a probably a BAD manufacturer overclock. Since the GPU was overclocked originally.
Thank you for the replies!

I’m glad you got the problem resolved, Hank. And I was victim of an bad overclocking myself, once, and boy did it cause problems!
