^^^ This.
The game is exactly as advertised. That and along with the EULA, which you did agree too. You are not entitled to a refund.
Hello, I’d like a full refund please.
My reasons are:
1. game incomplete and very buggy
2. game not as advertised, there is grind everywhere and nothing innovative like you said there would be
3. only 2 lvl 80 areas, many parts of tyria are innacessable
4. very little actual pve content other than heart/centaur/risen>repeat
5. the game has absolutely zero similarities to the first GW apart from the lore
6. Dungeons are not skill based, you cant see what the mobs are doing and how to counter it, DE’s are zerg fests, wvw are zergfests.
7. Totally dissapointed and not impressedI find GW2 not as advertised and respectfully request a full refund please.
This is possibly the worst troll thread I have ever stumbled on. And I’ve lurked these threads since launch.
I think the game is very unique and fun to play.
Sorry to hear you don’t enjoy the game, but I have to agree with the other posters… just because you discovered, after playing through the game, that you don’t like it all that much, doesn’t entitle you for a refund. After all, you already HAVE used the access code, and you’ve obviously been able to play through the entire game.
What would happen if game stores allowed everyone to return all games: “I finished it, but I didn’t like it all that much”
point for point:
1. The bugs will definitely get fixed in time. Hardly any game is released completely without bugs. But incomplete? Exactly what content was promised by ArenaNet to be included at launch and isn’t in the game?
2. They never said that there is no grind… they said that you never HAVE to grind in order to remain competitive. And you can complete the game without grinding… you don’t ever have to repeat the same content twice if you don’t want to. In other words… there is still grinding, but it’s a choice, not a necessity.
As for innovative… personally I think it is quite innovative in many ways. Exactly what kind of innovation were you expecting that you were disappointed in?
3. Everything that was promised to be accessible at launch, is. More will surely be added in future expansions. As for “only 2 level 80 areas”… you DO realize that as a level 80 player you can play in every single zone in the game and do everything you want… you will automatically be scaled down to the level of the zone. Meaning you have 25+ zones to choose from at level 80!
4. See (3). There is plenty to do all throughout the game. Are you sure that you’ve discovered every single dynamic event that is in the game? (many of them are player triggered!)
5. Did ArenaNet ever claim anything else?
6. Try creating a new character now that the starter zones are less full. DE’s definitely aren’t zerg fests (you may even be doing some solo) and do require skill to get through!
7. That’s your personal opinion, I can’t do anything about that.
Now, how about some constructive criticism in which you explain what ArenaNet could do (small steps) to improve the current gaming experience in order for you to enjoy it?
You have your opinions and I have mine. Clearly yours differ from mine and thats ok. You like the game, so have fun.
But.
I think the game is incomplete and buggy. It’s not finished, it’s also sequel that has no similarities to the first game other than game lore and I feel that they misled me as a customer.
I am entitled to a refund on the sole point of the game being incomplete and bug ridden – the product is clearly “not as advertised”.
Many others have had a refund and I am persuing mine through the support ticket system.
Thankyou for your replies.
