Registered on someone else's email
can he log into this website using the username as it was typed?
unfortunately, he will have to re-submit a ticket, n categorise it for “priority”
Nope, just first time, he change email to his own. But now He can’t login with his own email and so with the wrong email.
when he changed it to his own email he should have gotten a confirmation email sent to his email make sure he checks his junk and spam folders for that email.
This email was create just for GW2. Its absolutely empty. No spam etc.
then he’ll just have to wait on support to get to him. Sadly they are a bit swamped at the moment.
@Drintar – I do believe the email is sent to the other email address which would mean someone who owns the email address they did not intend to register to will get it and may be able to reset the password etc.
I thought it was sending the confirmation to the new address did they change that?
Yes I know that doesn’t make sense but I thought it was what the system was doing.
Oh! but there is one more thing did he have a GW1 account that he linked to the GW2 account?
No, he has just GW2
@Drintar if that was what is happening, you could essentially gain access to any account. The old email is sent the link to say “did you wish to change your account” this way if someone did try it with your own account you have to say yes by clicking a link first.

I cant see in ticket creation ’’priority’’
@DABhand yes I know that’s why I thought it was strange but I swore I’d read that the system was doing that…maybe that was before they got the problems with the email verification system worked out
I went and checked and back on Aug 18 when I changed my email the confirmation email was sent to the NEW address and a notification email about the change was sent to the old address

Like I said, no email about changing etc did not come.
Yeah because the previous email would get it. You will need to talk to support.

Yep, I send another ticket but on my first one, nobody answered for 7 days.
