I am curious when the lock on reserved names will be lifted?

I had two GW1 accounts and I couldn’t link both to GW2. Character name I had on the second account I would like to use in GW2 but it won’t let me since I linked the other account instead.

I’m in a similar situation, unable to use my own names from GW1 because they are “reserved”.

Some (any, really) sort of update would be nice. According to the official blog post, all reserved names were supposed to become available to everyone after launch day.

That’s what I thought too. I know they extended it until they get the issue you are having resolved where linked accounts still can’t get the names that were reserved. Just wondering if they have a ball park to how much longer that period is going to be extended.

same for me, just a quick notice when we can expect to use the character-names would be very nice.

Was this posted somewhere? I don’t recall even seeing this. Either way, as others said, a small addition to the Game Status Updates page would be really helpful.

I would also really like to know when these names will free up; been wanting to make a character with one that is held for some time, and been unable to. It is rather frustrating when you know a name isn’t being used and still can’t use it.

I too would like to hear some input on reserved names. Preferably beyond the generic, it’s been extended because of the log-in issues. That’s not what’s being asked. We’re pretty aware as to why the names have been further reserved. But how much longer?

I am in the same boat. I had 3 accounts in GW1 and did not want to kill my characters to consolidate names. I am patiently waiting for the names to be unlocked, but would like some communication as to when I can expect it. It is a little frustrating to log in twice a day and try to make a character, only to get to the end and see that it is still reserved. Regina! Help!
