The bug is still up or has been fixed? I’d like (I need) to do the jp to get the last achivement to complete Sky Pirates, but I’m not sure… It possible to do the jp in safely without get the ban? I’d not be banned for this. Thank you.

As stated many times allready, The bug is still up but it won’t get you banned anymore. There is no auto-banning system and all suspensions are done by GM’s. The GM’s are aware of this bug and know not to suspend you for this.

So it is perfectly safe to do the jumping puzzle.

It’s highly unlikely that anyone would be actioned for doing this jumping puzzle. We’ll get the issue fixed when possible, but as stated in this thread, all administrative action is taken only after a human review, so you should be able to go about your business.

please consider rewording the emails sent to the unfortunate victims.

for example,

your guild wars 2 account has been terminated for the following reasons:
- aaa
- bbb
- ccc
if you think this is a mistake, please contact support.

thank you.

instead of:

We have complete confidence in our detection and in our decision to terminate the account. Therefore, we will not accept an appeal in relation to this account termination.

The decision to terminate the account is final. This decision has been thoroughly reviewed by our team, and we maintain absolute confidence in our conclusion.

The account will remain permanently closed and is not eligible for reactivation under any circumstances.

and

I want you to know that we take great care when analyzing accounts prior to termination. NCsoft support staff is both diligent and conservative in determining which accounts are using these programs, and we only terminate an account only after we are able to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that such use has occurred

As previously mentioned, we are confident that our detection systems are accurate. A review of the violation history confirms the account termination, and we will not entertain further discussion about this incident. Subsequent tickets will be closed without response.

how can you guarantee that there will be no bugs errors from your side again in the future?

you cannot guarantee that.

Hello guys. This is my new account, made from a retail box key I intended to collect, but after my old account got terminated for ‘tampering’ with the game, I needed to use this one instead.

It has been a month long after my old account was terminated (its name was the same as this one although with different number). I don’t care if the name carries the stigma of the old one, but I’m sure I did nothing wrong. (My case # was 130531-001982 I asked my friend to post it on 3 days thread because my account can’t. But it was never answered, even Gaile seemed to skip it as she just answer to another case ignored mine completely.)

I’ve been very busy studying so after my appeal failed and I gave up upon seeing the template message sent to me that they’re so sure and confident about that decision to close my account for tampering with the game. (Is it botting or what? I don’t know what I could tamper with the game.) But after seeing this thread, I would like to come forward again and share the story. I agree with many people that the message ANet sent to me was very shocking and to be honest, rude. I admit I have low confidence and the message came across to me that I should just give up. Until now.

My friend told me not to bother, he told me that I should accept the fact that was a martyr who died along with the sinners just for ANet not to lose the face that they actively fight against the cheaters and along with it, killed innocents. But after I realized that I can appeal and should not just give up, especially after seeing this thread.

My case doesn’t have anything to do with Goemm or JP bugs. But the situation proved that there can be mistake so I came back and submitted new ticket 130704-001387 as the old one has been closed for inactivity. I just want to tell you guys that while I’m doing well in this account. (Despite that I don’t have much time to play with it as much as before.) If anyone who got wrongfully terminated and have their account back, please share the story. I became extremely pessimistic after seeing so many cases and I gave up early because of the ‘strong’ message ANet gave to convince me.

Keep up the good work ANet, I know you’re actively eliminating the cheaters for greater good, but don’t just leave the innocents lies dead. Not all are going to come back, especially when seeing those shocking messages. I’m sure you can relate to us more humanely rather than like say, robotic judge terminator. I’m still confident that I did nothing wrong, just check my old account activity logs.

I already shared my story soon as I got the “final decision”, got over 10 000 unique views on our site and dunno how many on reddit, google plus, facebook and twitter.

Shocked, stunned and puzzled is kinda the natural state of mind of any honest player who was unfortunate enough to have a 3rd degree chat with ArenaNet support.

Of course I am not speaking about Gail or Chris, both were swift and helpful in my case, but those GMs…. I think they are the true bots of GW2 (no compassion, no understanding, just formal out of context replies).

Someone asked about compensation, well in my case was 1 recipe, no laurels, no daily achievement points, or other stuff that you normally do get if not wrongfully deprived of your game time. Any way who cares about compensation, when they can never restore you the thing that matters most: TRUST.

Can I make a suggestion to the player population – when you come across a bug in-game, REPORT IT! If you had done the puzzle and fell through the world, report it. Then it is at least on file in their systems somewhere that you did not intentionally do something you should not have. By reporting the issue, you may also bring it to the developers attention quicker, thereby hopefully preventing others from the same problem.

This bug has been reported many, many times since the start of the game. How they were not aware of its existence is truly beyond me, but I’m glad they are now working on it.

I was in the same boat as Floryn above, though my reinstatement took a week longer. After my second and final appeal denial, I gave up and turned my attention to another MMO. Needless to say, I was surprised when I received a polite email with a kind, sincere apology from Gaile informing me that a mistake had been made…twice in my case. I wouldn’t be surprised if, in the near future, ArenaNet moves from what appeared to be a “one size fits all” review policy to a more in depth, case by case approach. The latter method will most certainly increase the time investment, but I think it worth the effort in order to avoid wrong terminations. I despise cheaters, bots, hackers, and the effect they have on the game…but I also have a dread in the back of my mind that some people may have been banned from this great game due to no fault of their own. In closing, after Gaile’s message to me, I have faith that positive changes will result from the events of the last couple of weeks.

Hi all,
I have the same problem as Floryn and JadedWolf above. My son’s account was terminated and the only thing we heard is because of ‘tampering with the game’ and ‘absolute confidence in our conclusion’.

We realy have no idea what we did wrong, but the ‘case’ is closed.

As a few other, we got the templated-replies and for my last two mails we didn’t even receive any response.

Just made a new ticket, will hold you informed.

Thank you for reinstating my account which was terminated on 6/25/13 for tampering with your game. I was told the third time my ticket was closed that it wasn’t due to goemm’s lab bug. But today I was told it was a bug and was reinstated. I fear that there are a decent number of players that are innocent that give up after the first or second denial to reinstate, I hope to see better routes of communication in the future (I hope to personally never need them again). The last two communications I received from your support team were a great improvement to the original two. I have no idea what other bug affected me or could have triggered your system. I am a little oblivious and don’t always realize when things are not working according to the programmer’s intention.
Thank you again for finding the bug. I logged in for a little bit, but since I didn’t get to do the last event, it was so hard to get my termination reviewed and overturned, I just don’t feel like playing GW2. Maybe that will change with time.
