Q:

Hey, I tried creating a support account that I could use with this GW2 account however when I attempted this it said that my email address was already linked to another account. now my question is this,

Is this normal to have a support account completely separate from the game account.
If not (I suspect its not) Why would the support account creation tell me I had already created one. And if there is only meant to be one email based account is there any way I can regster a support account to my game account?

The game account and support account are separate, yes. Someday I hope that will not be the case, and you can have exactly the same details on both, so I believe it’s not too much of an inconvenience.

There is a limit of one game account and one support account per email address, but you can have one of each on the same email address.

Have you played any other NCSoft games? Linage (2), City of Heroes/Villains, Aion, Auto Assualt, etc?

I believe NC wants them kept seperate in case of things like account lockouts and hacks.
