I purchased the Jack in the box scythe from the BLTC and soulbound it to the wrong character. I immediately realized my error and created a support ticket to try and get it moved. I would like to transfer it to my other character (on the same account), so I can have both the pick and scythe on the same character. The support ticket id is 41940, but I was told that this will not be done.

Is there anything I can do about this?

Unfortunately no. Nothing can be done. Support does not have the tools to unsoulbind an item so it can be transferred so there is nothing they can do.

I am afraid not. I think that is why they warn you before binding it to a character. Try to be very careful with future purchases.

The gem store harvesting tools are soulbound once equipped, sadly. I wish they were account bound.

I was told this is the only Infinite Harvesting Tool that is account bound and not soul bound. You certain that it is indeed Soulbound?

Don’t worry — one of my team is checking this now. I’m sorry for any confusion about this; we really expected this one to be account bound!

Ok, we checked and the item is indeed Soulbound. Again, I apologize for our misunderstanding of the bound-ed-ness of the item — our team was a little confused about some discussions about these particular items.

The items were account bound and then soulbound on equipping them on a character. Before the item becomes soulbound, a player is given a clear warning that the decision is permanent. Give those circumstances, the agent responded properly in telling you that he or she could not move the item to another character.

I feel sure we can take care of this. Let me get an agent to take a peek now. Thanks for your patience.

In the future, this issue will not be a factor for our players because the devs are going to make some changes to these particular items that will make them account bound instead of soulbound. We don’t have a timeframe for this change, but we’re really happy that it’s coming and I think it’ll be soon.

I think the issue here is that while they can SEND you a new one in the mail or credit you the Gems, they cannot (or do not) remove the item from the character you mistakenly bound it to.

I guess they could request you destroy the tool, check that was destroyed and then credit Gems, but that’s a lot of work for a mistake you made.

Gaile, are these going to actually be shareable between characters or just Account bound until used the first time? Currently, I would never consider buying any of these simply because I don’t like the idea of a dedicated gatherer among my 10 ALTS (I don’t really consider any of them a MAIN), but I would certainly consider a purchase if I could pass them around freely.

I hope this doenst mean i wasted 5k gems (500g+ i think). Basically for months i postponed any worthy purchase, just to get enough gems, to buy first 3x full set, then another 3x with the ‘year’ sale. This means 3 (diff tools) * 8 (charachters * 800 (gems per tool) = 19200 gems. Imagine how much precursors/ legendaries i can buy with it.

I send tickets ‘sorry this items work as intended’. Then i saw all the forum cryings etc, then i saw the that a sale would come selling them again. I don’t think it’s fair that i will have so much useless sets now. You devs stubbornly stated ‘sorry can’t change it’. So I took the fall, and farmed pretty hardcore to get enough money to buy 6 sets. Would be pretty disappointing that I lost a legendary (at least, especially with recent inflation) due to wrong communication.

Legendary weapons can be hidden now!
No excuse anymore for not giving ‘hide mounts’-option
No thanks to unidentified weapons.

You know, I figured this would make me really happy, but I’m pretty annoyed that I broke down and bought a duplicate sickle. Do you have any more information on this?

EDIT: Oh, I guess the information is already up.
EDIT2: You know, giving this time to sink in and so on, I’m really not bothered by the fact that I have two sickles. I really wanted the animation on the new one, so I’m quite happy with this change. I just wanted to update from being Eeyore.
